After buying the Ethernet adapter, it became clear I really didn't need a direct connection to my router for my new Mac laptop. I returned it. I can't honestly rate how it works because I never used it.

Does that job that it is supposed to do. no complaints.

Does what it should for cheaper than Apple’s price.. by a dollar but meh. It’s a shame I had to invest another $30 into an already expensive product but that’s not Best Buy’s fault.

I purchased this for a MacBook air, but it failed to work. It may be a faulty piece of equipment. I had to purchase a replacement due to the return time being past by the time I needed to use it.

Wrong item…need to return….which I could use…………..

I like this product however, I was told that if I bought it and used it at home when I need to upload homework, that it would allow me to upload faster. So far this is not the case!

I would not recommend this product to no one, I ended up returning it not worth the price

Kind of annoying that Mac took out their Ethernet plugs from MacBook and imac... huge inconvenience to have to buy extra equipment just for basic functions

I knew that my new MacBook Pro only had Thunderbolt connectors, so I bought this to connect up to my wired network. Turns out this has a Thunderbolt 2 connector (DisplayPort type), not a Thunderbolt 3 (USB Type-C) connector. I purchased it with the new laptop, but the salesperson didn't catch this either. Fortunately, BestBuy took it back and refunded my money without a problem. Most of my issue with this product is the labeling on Apple's packaging not Best Buy.

There is nothing wrong with this product other than the fact that it should have been included with the MacBook rather than requiring a separate $30 purchase.

Not sure what the problem was.... but it would never work on the VM Ware side of my mac.......IT help was out and spent hours but couldn't get it to workk

I received an e mail telling me my item was ready to be picked up. Went to appropriately marked pickup area and notified them of what space I was in. Waited in pickup area fro 30 min to receive a small item with no communication as to why it took so long. I had to get out of my car and find someone to remind them I was waiting. Very poor organization.

This is really the only way you can safely hardwire into the Internet with Mac anymore. Annoying that you HAVE to buy it if you want to hardwire.

The device does what its intended to do but it does not fit snugly on the computer and comes a little loose and drops the connection to the net.

I thought it would be good for usb-c but I made a mistake Check before you buy.

Old product for an out-dated port now. Very situational purchase.

I wanted to like this product since I live in an apartment complex that has more wireless networks than the pentagon, but it just caused errors with my Macbook pro(early 2013 i7 with 500gb SSD, 16GB of ram). I also found that using the backup function of my Apple Time machine (tall tower looking one) didn't work as well as using wireless. I wasn't able to achieve much higher bandwidth than with wireless either. I want to try the USB version.

I purchased to use with Mac book pro and this was the wrong size.
