My son needed this for his dorm room. The college he attends recommended they not use the wireless for doing papers. This is exactly what he needs. It was easy to install.

Great item for adding ethernet to your MacBook Pro - for those times when you need to set something up using ethernet - you can plug it in and use it quick!

Not in love with how many adapters Apple products require but this did the trick. Needed item and works as advertised.

This adapter works great. Plugged it into the thunderbolt port on my Macbook Air and connected it to an Ethernet cable and it just worked. I didn't need to change any settings.

This is good especially when you are out of town and you don't have WiFi. Yes there are places that don't have WiFi readily available. Just make sure that you keep up with it.

Works as described, gige connection. If your wiring is broken, it will also operate with only 4 wires at 100mbit. helpful for diagnosing bad terminations as well :)

Since MacBooks not longer come with Ethernet ports, this is a necessary evil if you want to hard wire to network. Works fine, pricey, but it is from Apple.
