Adaptors are never convenient except when they are Exactly what you need. Everyone uses wifi for everything these days so t makes sense to remove Ethernet ports from laptops, but when those moments arise that call for a hard line connection, this adapter is exactly what's needed. It's small enough to travel with and it not be hard to pack. It's design is compact enough to not be a burden to travel with. It's just ideal and made with quality.

Cable is easy to setup and use. Needed it to program a router. Plug into Mac and done. Bit too expensive.

Bought this for gigabit connectivity to a Mac Book Air. Excellent speed. Very compact to carry around.

My Retina MBP doesn't have a ethernet jack, got a new ISP and wasn't getting the wi fi speed i was promised. In order to verify if I was getting the speed purchased I needed to go direct wired connection to the modem ( take out any potential bottle necks), so this was a required purchase to do that. Hooked it up and BOOM super fast speed was there !!! So need a new router to get wi fi up to speed. This worked first time every time with no issues at all.

Yet another $20-30 dongle for my MacBook, that most of the time will sit in my drawer, but when I need a wired network connection (and I do on occasion when I'm configuring/testing networking gear), this works perfectly. I tried several other USB/Ethernet adapters that I had on hand, and none of them worked as others on the web suggested they might. And the one thing you get on this that you won't on most USB adapters is true Gig speeds.

Its small and compact which is good. it works which is also good. its cost more than it should which is bad. worth buying if you need it.
