I needed this adapter to plug an Ethernet cable into my MacBook Pro. It does the job perfectly.

I was always questioning why would you need something like this - isn't there wifi everywhere??? But then I got sent on business to an office that wasn't allowed to have wifi - I needed a hardware connection for my MacBook Air. I had to google, but found that this device still existed. It's fantastic. The wired connection is perfect through this dongle and I was able to get full speeds with no lag at all. Five stars when you need this thing.

It is easy to use 'cause the adapter does not require any installation, and it is small enough to carry around.

Needed this adapter to use on rare occasions, setup is easy and performance is surprisingly good too.

Yet another $20-30 dongle for my MacBook, that most of the time will sit in my drawer, but when I need a wired network connection (and I do on occasion when I'm configuring/testing networking gear), this works perfectly. I tried several other USB/Ethernet adapters that I had on hand, and none of them worked as others on the web suggested they might. And the one thing you get on this that you won't on most USB adapters is true Gig speeds.

Its small and compact which is good. it works which is also good. its cost more than it should which is bad. worth buying if you need it.

Using thunderbolt is almost as easy as plugging a network wire directly into a Mac if you have this adaptor. It tends to get a bit hot, and extends a few inches out from the side of the computer, both of which can be issues if you have limited space for your laptop. I have a rare issue in which the Mac freezes when I insert the adaptor, but if I recognize this immediately and unplug the adaptor, the computer unfreezes and I can try again -- that solves the issue. If I do not unplug, the Mac becomes unusable. This condition is limited to just after waking the computer as well; I suspect that some services on the on the computer have not yet woken up just after I open the clamshell (lid).

I needed this to improve the internet speed on my mac. Definitely a must-have!

I have a Gigabit setup and this dongle did not miss a step. No loss in speed.

Since the new MacBook Pro doesn't have a built in ethernet port I wanted a way to hook my new computer up hardwire which seems to work best in my home where kids gaming systems, phones, iPads, and other toys are all connected to the wifi. The speed I get to my MacBook is about 50% faster than the wireless connection. I'm glad Apple saw that some people would still want to be hardwired and gave us a good adapter for it!!

On short notice I needed a wired ethernet connection to my mac and I was worried about the process to make it recognize this Thunderbolt adapter. Well, the Mac saw it immediately and I was up and running with blazing fast ethernet in a couple of moments. Apple never lets me down.

Works exactly as intended, super easy to use, basically plug in to mac and plug in Ethernet cable, just make sure Wi-Fi is turned off on the mac, and it works instantly.

I was a bit skeptical about what sort of speed I would get using an adapter for my Thunderbolt 3 connection. As it turned out, this connection to my cat5 Eternet cable showed no loss of speed. My backup to an external drive took almost exactly the same time as the direct connection to an external drive in a T3 case.

It’s apple so it’s simple to use, looks good, and over priced.

I keep this adapter in my car and another one in the house. Works great with my phone.

This adapter works consistently and is small enough to carry everywhere.

Sought out the correct adapter to hardwire connect via Ethernet cable from home route to MacBook Pro to ensure faster Internet connection at home other than wireless WiFi. Went with the Apple brand which is highly recommended. Internet speeds are faster than wireless connection which is a fact. Also more secure connection. Great buy at Best Buy!
