I bought this for my daughter and hate the idea that it is even necessary but It works as advertised

I purchased this adapter mainly to access my broken time capsule. Got a great deal on an open box item.

It doesn't work. It connects for a few minutes and then stops completely working. Says "no connection detected" I even had our IT guy help to make sure it wasn't me doing something wrong and unfortunately they confirmed the cable wasn't working. Now I'm having issues returning it because Best Buy won't accept the return in store and online is no help either because it's from a third party seller

Works fine. I do wish they would make a Thunderbolt to ethernet cable so another adapter could be avoided.

Been using this for a few weeks now and works as expected, as it should since it is a bit pricey.

The product worked flawlessly but the price was a little too high for what it is.

I think it ingenious that Apple created another port through which peripherals can be connected. Having this Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter allowed me to free up 1 of only 2 USB ports I had. This also works on the MacBook Air (pre-2015, of course). Great investment and a must have for me.

If you have an older Mac pro, this works great with getting an ethernet connection.

As far as the product goes, this adapter works just fine. Buy one if you need one. But I asked someone as Best Buy specifically if this one adapter would suit my Ethernet needs and she told me yes. I directly asked, "Will I be able to directly plug an ethernet cable into this adapter and use it on my new MacBook Pro?" Again, she told me yes. She was wrong. What this adapter is — had I done the appropriate research instead of consulting Best Buy employees — is an adapter FOR the adapter that worked on the old MacBook Pros. In other words, if you had the old Thunderbolt adapter for ethernet for the old models, you need this adapter for that adapter to work. I did not have the old adapter, so now I bought this one and had no use for it until I bought the older Thunderbolt. No doubt frustrating. Hopefully someone looking to buy this reads this review and saves themselves the disappointment of not getting what they thought. Buy both if you don't already have them.

Item works as described. Highly recommended if you require Ethernet connection to the mac book air.

Does what it is suppose to do. I am having 0- issues. and am very happy with the product overall.

Have not used this product, but will definitely use it to improve my internet connection.
