So much better than the built in smart tv apps. I disconnected my tv from the internet because the Apple TV doesn’t have ads and runs so much smoother.

i have had all 3 of the versions that have come out, and many other streamers, fire stick, Roku, Zumo , 3 google chromes, and many others. You cant get a better streamer, but you must have another apple device and an account to use it, but this is another reason to like it. the ecosystem, and security are unmatched. If loose the remote there is one on your pull down menu on your other devices like phone or tablet. do not download one from the store. They have adds and bloat wear, and they will charge a subscription.

I picked this up to replace using Roku on my main tv and my Roku tv. We're not an apple household, this house runs off Google. BUT, this is much faster than the Roku, remote works unlike the Roku. This was a great buy and will replace all devices except the Google Tv.

Very easy to set up with Home Screen turned on! Simply switched the new 4K Apple TV in for the older Apple TV using same cables and it configured itself with all the apps - you do have to know passwords though!

This is without a doubt the best streaming device available IMHO! I’ve had them all, Roku, FireTV, Nvidia etc… this one is the best by a large margin. I do suggest searching the internet for some informative tweaks so you can turn this unit into a simple but powerful instrument. Especially put your 5 most used apps on the top line of the Home Screen and change the TV button from Apple TV+ to Home Screen. You’ll thank me later…the beauty is in its simplicity!

Easy setup, fast and snappy, and no ads on the Home Screen. It’s a great device on its own, and the experience is enhanced if you’re in the Apple ecosystem. You can use your iPhone or iPad to control the TV and airplay content from your Apple devices. There’s also a plethora of apps that you can use as well as games to play with a controller. My only wish is that it had a cooling fan installed. Long gaming sessions can throttle the experience a bit. Otherwise it’s a solid premium option for those who want a great OS and no ads on the Home Screen.

I've been holding on to my Apple TV HD since 2016, and finally decided to upgrade, I regret not upgrading sooner! It's super fast, snappy, and much easier to use, faster boot times and restart times, highly recommend for anyone wanting for streaming and gaming!

When I cut the cord, I Bought this for the family room TV. The Apple TV 4K has all of my apps in one place and very easy to navigate. The new remote is heavier than previous Apple TV products and is so much easier to handle. Soon we will have Apple TV 4K for our other TV’s.

Prior to this, was using Fire sticks and Fire TV's. While much less expensive, I was constantly plagued with buffering, slow menus, random app crashes, weird app updates, out-of-sync audio, etc. (FYI - I do not hack or jailbreak - I leave them as close to factory as possible) I had to constantly empty caches, re-install apps, re-start my fire TV, reset to factory and re-login - it was a whole workflow around streaming. Got fed up and bit the bullet with the Apple TV, and OMG, the experience is smooth & seamless... No freezing or jittering, just simple streaming. Also integrates with all of my other apple stuff. Would highly recommend for someone who is looking for a streaming experience that is almost as seamless as broadcast tv or cable. Gonna ditch my other fire TV stick and buy another Apple TV for the family room. I am sold.

The best iteration of the Apple TV and worth the extra money for the thread support and Ethernet port. It’s unfortunate the Apple TV just didn’t make the only difference the memory as it would have been more competitive if cheaper with same features. My only complaint is there are some tvOS features that seem to be less refined than others. In particular, the photos app is lacking. But for watching videos and streaming music it lacks very little. I’ve yet to see a good competitor and yes it is more money but when spending a lot of time watching movies or TV’s it seems like a small investment. If you’ve ever gone and seen a movie in the theater a few times that money evaporates whereas the money spent for the Apple TV will last a long time. If unsure, check out any YouTube reviews from respectable sources and then decide.

I initially purchased this because I kept getting messages that my TV box was full of apps, even though it still had plenty of space. This device solved that issue, and as an added bonus, it made the picture on my TV brighter and bolder.

I’m “Over-the-Moon” with excitement after this purchase. My 1st generation Version was very glitchy and difficult to operate. The new interface and remote have improved tremendously. Being able to use Siri to play music or shows is a game changer.

Amazing product, i was cery tired of my “Smart” TV being laggy and coulnt load anything. I plugged this in and all my problems went away super responsive and conviniet that it compunicates woth your other apple products such as your iphone.
