I have held off buying an Apple TV for many years. I got sick of my smart TVs UI and ads and decided to pull the trigger. I absolutely love it. It’s almost perfect. My biggest gripe is the remotes sensitive touch scroll but maybe I’ll get used to it. Otherwise it’s amazing and way better. I want one for all my TVs.

Easy to use and integrate my other apple devices. Makes SDR look fantastic. Only negative is no Safari web browser app bit with screenshare there is a workaround.

The device works great on a 2017 Sony 75" Bravia XBR-75X850E TV, The TV started having stutter problems on live sports board casts. Using the streaming apps available on the device has corrected the problem with great color, clarity and contrast. Cheaper than buying a new TV!

Love it It works amazingly and I can stream all my favorite shows on it with no problems and I also love the way I can also connect my AirPods to listen to it while streaming and not disturb the rest of the house too its was easy to set up too would definitely recommend to anyone

The unit is sleek, easy to hide. Many options for mounting available online. The remote is small, so for those of us with big hands it can feel like you might crush it. But it's made of metal and quite sturdy. The unit works great. So much faster than Roku. I won't be going back. This is a solid piece of hardware.

I upgraded from an old generation 2 and this one works way better. Faster, downloadable software and the remote is a lot better than the original Apple TVs.

I've tried many streaming devices. and this has by far the best when it comes to video quality and audio (if setup right). has all the popular apps and still being yearly updated even though its 3 years old+.

We upgraded from a really old apple tv that barely worked and wow this thing really gets the job done. It’s so easy and convenient to connect your phone to your tv and is way less glitchy than the previous one we had. Worth the upgrade!

I was skeptical, at first, if this would be that much better than streaming directly from my tv but it’s so much better! The fact that it’s streamlined with my Apple products makes it that much better too!

If your home ecosystem is Apple this device will fit nicely into your environment. I love the fact that you can calibrate the colors with the iPhone to make 4k look even better. WIFI on this device works good but I like to use a ethernet cable plugged in so I can get the best speeds out of my network. Even if you don't have an Apple ecosystem in your home, this device is still one of the top players that will help make your TV viewing very pleasurable. You will have to setup an Apple account if you do not have one, but that is free. This will help to download apps from the App Store. Apple will also give you 3 months of Apple TV+ and I have to say they do have some of the best programming with shows like Ted Lasso, Hijack, and many others. If you get one, you will not be disappointed. Happy Viewing!

How essential this device is depends on your use case. If you are heavily into Apple products and if your smart TV does not have the Apple TV+ app or AirPlay, then this device makes excellent sense. For example, we have a prior model Apple TV paired with a several year old TV and we love it. On our newer LG C2, on the other hand, I am not entirely sure an Apple TV makes as much sense. We can watch Apple shows & movies via the Apple TV+ app on the TV and we can Airplay from our Apple devices in order to listen to music. Some advantages to getting an Apple TV for a newer smart TV: (a) privacy protections are reportedly better with Apple TV than with LG's apps; (b) picture quality seems a bit better on the Apple TV than with the app; (c) we are able to watch cable TV (Spectrum) via an app on the Apple TV, whereas Spectrum does not have an app for LG - so that allowed us to stop using the cable set top box. The device itself is outstanding, hence the 5-star rating.

I will buy a 2nd one soon as this is better than fire tv and never lags or has bugs. Surround sound features and great picture quality improving streaming services images.

Apple TV is the best streaming device on the market. I switched from the Roku Ultra and the picture quality and sound is so much better. Apps just run quicker and look better on Apple TV.

If you're an Apple user this is a MUST! It's easy to use and set up. It doesn't lag. I Upgraded mine. The last one I had for at least 9 years before it started glitching. Hoping this one lasts just as long.
