Been using it for a few weeks now, haven't had an Apple tv in a few years. Been using the Nvidia Shield, but decided to switch to Apple because they support HDR 10+ and the Shield hasn't had an update in 4 years. Apple tv is known for their picture quality while Shield is known for their audio quality.
The build of the Apple tv is nice, I do like how they have buttons and a touch sensor on the remote. The interface is fairly intuitive after playing with the remote for a few minutes. My one disappointment with it so far is that Apple tv is either slow to loading apps and movies, or it'll get stuck loading something and I have to back out and re-select what I wanted to watch.
The kids love the Apple tv and the games that they have access to, but not sure if I'm going to keep using it if these problems don't go away. The Shield is an excellent and powerful device, just wish they would update it from 2019. With that being said, I would still recommend the Apple TV for most users.

I’ve used a Xbox for the last 10 years and always thought it was just fine. The Apple TV is much faster and easier to use. The remote works great and collects via Bluetooth so doesn’t require line of sight. The Apple TV uses hdmi cec and auto turns on my television and audio receiver and automatically controls the audio volume on the receiver. Integration with Apple ecosystem / iPhone and photos is a nice addition.

I’ve now purchased the Apple TV 4K for all 3 of my TV’s. I started with one for my main TV and loved it. I had held off from buying one because I thought it would be similar to the TV’s built-in apps; I was so wrong! These are so much more responsive than even my newest Samsung TV(2023 model), no ads to deal with, and streams 4k without the buffering and downgraded video I was so used to seeing when using my TV’s apps. Well worth the price.
Also I enjoy the remote as it feels solid vs the plastic ones you get with the TV. It has one feature that I didn’t appreciate, letting you scroll by sweeping your finger across the center touch pad. It didn’t take me long to look in the settings and found it could be easily disabled.

I recently upgraded to the Apple TV 4K (128GB), and honestly, it’s been a game-changer for my home setup. The 4K HDR quality is stunning, and the Dolby Atmos sound makes movies and shows feel immersive. With the 128GB storage, I don’t have to worry about running out of space for apps or games.
What I love most is how smoothly it runs—no lag, even when switching between apps or playing Apple Arcade games. The Siri Remote is super intuitive, and it’s great for controlling my smart home devices too. I also appreciate the Ethernet and Thread support since I’ve been expanding my smart home setup.
That said, it’s not cheap. If you’re not already in the Apple ecosystem, you might find better options elsewhere. But for me, it’s been totally worth it for the performance and how well it integrates with my other Apple devices.

I got this to replace a 6+ year old second gen Fire TV and am absolutely blown away. It is so fast and responsive compared to what I was used to. I do not have it hooked up to a 4k tv, but I feel the picture quality is improved also. They do not include the cord to charge the remote, which is a common thing with Apple these days. Mine came 85% charged and you can also use your phone as a remote in the event you don't have a USB-C cord laying around. I do like that the circle button the remote doubles as a trackpad, scrolling is so easy.

I never saw the point of AppleTV until I bought it after reading how smooth its user interface is and how it allows for some of the better picture quality with streaming/dolby Atmos. I enjoy being able to use my phone as a remote and love the upscaling it does with certain programs and streaming services. I even watch directv on it and have no issues with picture quality and use this way more than my TV’s own software.

I will never use an iPhone for my personal phone. But, Apple products in other categories just can't be beat.
I've been using an xbox on one tv, and the smart functions on my bedroom tv. The tv in my bedroom is a Samsung and it's a beautiful picture, but the apps are always needing me to re-sign in. It's become too annoying. So, why not try Apple TV! I actually love watching Apple TV shows & movies.
For what it offers, I believe the price is great. It's small enough to hide. I've added all the apps I normally use for viewing movies and series. For the short time I've had it, I could absolutely get another to replace the xbox.
I love that the remote isn't obnoxious. The touch functions on it are a plus. I love that it immediately recognizes my homepod mini AND that I can send the audio to the homepod for better listening. I'm actually awaiting another homepod mine to arrive today, so I can set up stereo sound.
I haven't checked out the other apps and options, but when I have time, I certainly will.
I'd recommend this to everyone!

This little box completely upgraded my TV experience! The A15 Bionic chip makes everything incredibly smooth – apps launch instantly and 4K HDR content looks stunning. I love how seamlessly it integrates with my other Apple devices (AirPods auto-switch is magic).
The new Siri Remote feels just right, with a clickpad that’s precise but not fussy. Gaming performance is surprisingly good for casual titles via Apple Arcade. My only complaint? The price is steep compared to basic streaming sticks – but the premium performance and clean, ad-free interface make it worth every penny for Apple.

The Apple TV 128GB is a powerhouse in the streaming world, and it has quickly become the crown jewel of my entertainment system. The increased storage capacity allows me to download more apps and games than ever, ensuring I’m never at a loss for entertainment options.
The interface is as sleek and intuitive as you’d expect from Apple, making navigation a breeze—even for my technophobic relatives. The picture and sound quality are top-notch, transforming my living room into a mini-cinema that rivals the local theater.
AirPlay is a standout feature, seamlessly mirroring content from my other Apple devices. It’s perfect for impromptu photo slideshows or streaming a presentation in crystal clear definition.
But what truly sets the Apple TV 128GB apart is its integration within the Apple ecosystem. The synchronization with iCloud, Apple Music, and the App Store is flawless, creating a user experience that’s both unified and expansive.
In conclusion, if you’re looking for a streaming device that offers vast storage, superb performance, and elegant user interaction, the Apple TV 128GB is your best bet. It’s not just an entertainment device; it’s an enhancement to your digital lifestyle.

I replaced my Roku with Apple TV since we have Apple products. Also bought two HomePods (Merry Christmas) to get a better sound affect from TV. Easy to hookup and pair with the speakers.

I’m really impressed with the Apple TV 4K. My Roku had been lagging a lot, and with this I can completely bypass that clunky software. It honestly feels like I have a brand new TV. The interface is super smooth and fluid, and casting music is seamless, which is perfect since I recently switched from Spotify to Apple Music. Totally worth it.

I love Apple TVs!! We now have 4 in house (various generations) The first one (Gen 1) replaced our GoogleTV built into our TV, and we'll never go back. The Apple TV just WORKS, it's a simple, intuitive interface that just lets us get to the content we want to watch without poor app support, app video drop outs etc. The Apple TV does an excellent job keeping up with Video without buffering (Google TV did it all the time on the same internet service). All the apps work well, and the system is very fast, and the latest remote is intuitive, has excellent tactile feel, and just works. Same can not be said for our 2022 Google TV. I've used bluetooth to connect a PS4 controller and that worked as expected. We use Apple TV With ARC to our TV And amplifier and all connect and work seamlessly. The video quality is excellent, and the device will auto adjust to your TV's capabilities (must go into settings one time and allow Apple TV to do it). As an added bonus, if you have an iPad or Apple Phone you can control the Apple TV from it, and in some cases use the keyboard from your iPad to type in app passwords and/or search. The remote has a Siri button to search and if you individually say "upper case", "lower case" when speaking your password for the apps, that works too! We have multiple Apple TVs, and we recently updated to "Max" (from HBO Max) and I put the username and password in once, and the other Apple TV's picked that up. I've only scratched the surface of what this thing can do. Highly recommended! Also, search youtube for what you're missing on what this thing can do. You'll be surprised and very happy at the features it has that you may not be using!

Apple TV 4K is one more Apple product. Still, as always, quality in their products, with this one I bought, there are already three, very easy to use, the interaction with OS is formidable, I think the only thing I could ask for is a USB input, but other than that I'm still happy using my Apple TV 4K.

I didn't know what I was missing my whole life! Yep - there's a price difference between AppleTv and other streaming "sticks" but the difference is night and day! Cleaner, crisper, brighter picture (even on not so great tvs) - smoother interface, flawless mobility - Apple treats you like royalty with their offerings. They have created devices that consider YOU - not filled with bloatware either! Thats definitely a plus!
One of my favorite things - Apple TV "talks" to ALL OTHER APPS!!! Yes - ALL OF THEM! Unlike Fire - who doesn't talk to anyone -
When you search something on Apple Tv - it will tell you where it's available...whatever app (even if you don't have it) - Fire only talks to Prime - (BOOO) When I was using Fire - I spent so much money on rentals, all to find out it was on an app I was already paying for - Because Fire didn't talk to my apps - only Prime Channel offerings -
NOT ANYMORE! Thank you Apple!
I can now use ONE app to find whatever I want - wherever it is!
Apple talks to prime and all others. Fire talks ONLY to prime. Its a huge difference. The entire Apple Ecosystem is amazing and this no exception! The experience you get from Apple tv is worth the price, plus some!
