Huge Upgrade to my TV (128 GB Edition)

I purchased this Apple TV a couple of weeks ago. It works flawlessly with your other Apple devices. I love the features: the Dolby vision and Dolby Atmos sound is amazing and is a huge upgrade to my regular smart LG TV. Great quality and smoothness, especially navigating through all the apps and screens, this makes a huge difference compared to a fire stick or if using the smart hub that comes on the standard tv's. Lastly, the integration of the Apple ecosystem is great, such as having different accounts, using apple music for some Karaoke, facetime, and the most useful to me is using my Airpods. I am able to watch anything I like with the sound coming through my airpods instead of my TV/Speakers, and can even connect multiple airpods at a time.

I previously owned an earlier generation Apple TV, and this version goes far beyond what I’d expected. The user interface is easy to navigate, picture and sound amazing on my 75” tv & Atmos sound system, the remote is MAJOR improvement over the tiny silver one tjat was perpetually lost. I’ve decided to upgrade all of the Google TVs in our home with Apple TV…purchase #3 coming up soon.

Not all streaming devices are equal. This is the perfect example of that. I have had the roku ultra, roku sticks, amazon sticks, chromecast w google tv and the nvidia shield... this apple tv is head and shoulders better than all of them. You get picture quality that is as good as streaming can be, close to physical media. On the latest chromecast, the picture looked ok.. the apple tv is noticeably better. Snappy user interface, easy to manage settings make this device the best streaming device on the market, hands down. Completely worth the premium you pay for this device.

I finally upgraded my Apple TV from a Gen 1 version. So much happier now! Product is easy to use, functionality is great and video quality is high. Was easy to add in all streaming apps so I use this as the main interface for all my streaming entertainment. Interface with my iphone was seamless and allows me to fully control the device from my phone. Logging into apps defaults to phone for entering username and password - much easier than using the remote. Remote also controls TV power and volume which is helpful.

    Best streaming box today

Say what you want about apple, they probably deserve most of it, but as of today its the only smart tv streaming box that doesnt overload the screen with ads and slows down to the point of being unusable. Google/Android TV has to be restarted regularly to clear cache (pronounced like cash) so it can be used, it gets to the point you press a button on the remote and 1-3 seconds later it the tv catches up. FireTV being the absolute worst, ive powered one on before and it freezes instantly because its trying to load so much garbage. The moving wallpapers are stunning, and can be changed to your photos, specific scenery, etc. If you get the more expensive model you get the ethernet port so you dont have to deal with wifi and thread networking support for better smart home device performance and being able to run things remotely. For example youre on vacation and you didnt set up timers or schedules for the lights so you can just turn things on/off from your iphone or ipad in the hotel room

Been using it for a few weeks now, haven't had an Apple tv in a few years. Been using the Nvidia Shield, but decided to switch to Apple because they support HDR 10+ and the Shield hasn't had an update in 4 years. Apple tv is known for their picture quality while Shield is known for their audio quality. The build of the Apple tv is nice, I do like how they have buttons and a touch sensor on the remote. The interface is fairly intuitive after playing with the remote for a few minutes. My one disappointment with it so far is that Apple tv is either slow to loading apps and movies, or it'll get stuck loading something and I have to back out and re-select what I wanted to watch. The kids love the Apple tv and the games that they have access to, but not sure if I'm going to keep using it if these problems don't go away. The Shield is an excellent and powerful device, just wish they would update it from 2019. With that being said, I would still recommend the Apple TV for most users.

I’ve used a Xbox for the last 10 years and always thought it was just fine. The Apple TV is much faster and easier to use. The remote works great and collects via Bluetooth so doesn’t require line of sight. The Apple TV uses hdmi cec and auto turns on my television and audio receiver and automatically controls the audio volume on the receiver. Integration with Apple ecosystem / iPhone and photos is a nice addition.

I’ll never go back to fire stick or Roku or anything that isn’t an Apple TV. The UI is always silky smooth with no ads. Fire sticks always get bogged down with lag and ads very quickly. Apple TV just works all the time. You get top quality video and audio including atmos. It also has cool features especially if you have an iPhone. Use the iPhone as a remote easily especially if you map the remote to the action button on 15 or newer. You can even FaceTime by sending the video to the TV while using the phone’s main camera which auto tracks you as you move. Super cool!

I got this to replace a 6+ year old second gen Fire TV and am absolutely blown away. It is so fast and responsive compared to what I was used to. I do not have it hooked up to a 4k tv, but I feel the picture quality is improved also. They do not include the cord to charge the remote, which is a common thing with Apple these days. Mine came 85% charged and you can also use your phone as a remote in the event you don't have a USB-C cord laying around. I do like that the circle button the remote doubles as a trackpad, scrolling is so easy.

I’ve now purchased the Apple TV 4K for all 3 of my TV’s. I started with one for my main TV and loved it. I had held off from buying one because I thought it would be similar to the TV’s built-in apps; I was so wrong! These are so much more responsive than even my newest Samsung TV(2023 model), no ads to deal with, and streams 4k without the buffering and downgraded video I was so used to seeing when using my TV’s apps. Well worth the price. Also I enjoy the remote as it feels solid vs the plastic ones you get with the TV. It has one feature that I didn’t appreciate, letting you scroll by sweeping your finger across the center touch pad. It didn’t take me long to look in the settings and found it could be easily disabled.

The Apple TV 128GB is a powerhouse in the streaming world, and it has quickly become the crown jewel of my entertainment system. The increased storage capacity allows me to download more apps and games than ever, ensuring I’m never at a loss for entertainment options. The interface is as sleek and intuitive as you’d expect from Apple, making navigation a breeze—even for my technophobic relatives. The picture and sound quality are top-notch, transforming my living room into a mini-cinema that rivals the local theater. AirPlay is a standout feature, seamlessly mirroring content from my other Apple devices. It’s perfect for impromptu photo slideshows or streaming a presentation in crystal clear definition. But what truly sets the Apple TV 128GB apart is its integration within the Apple ecosystem. The synchronization with iCloud, Apple Music, and the App Store is flawless, creating a user experience that’s both unified and expansive. In conclusion, if you’re looking for a streaming device that offers vast storage, superb performance, and elegant user interaction, the Apple TV 128GB is your best bet. It’s not just an entertainment device; it’s an enhancement to your digital lifestyle.

Way better than the TV's smart functions!

I will never use an iPhone for my personal phone. But, Apple products in other categories just can't be beat. I've been using an xbox on one tv, and the smart functions on my bedroom tv. The tv in my bedroom is a Samsung and it's a beautiful picture, but the apps are always needing me to re-sign in. It's become too annoying. So, why not try Apple TV! I actually love watching Apple TV shows & movies. For what it offers, I believe the price is great. It's small enough to hide. I've added all the apps I normally use for viewing movies and series. For the short time I've had it, I could absolutely get another to replace the xbox. I love that the remote isn't obnoxious. The touch functions on it are a plus. I love that it immediately recognizes my homepod mini AND that I can send the audio to the homepod for better listening. I'm actually awaiting another homepod mine to arrive today, so I can set up stereo sound. I haven't checked out the other apps and options, but when I have time, I certainly will. I'd recommend this to everyone!

I never saw the point of AppleTV until I bought it after reading how smooth its user interface is and how it allows for some of the better picture quality with streaming/dolby Atmos. I enjoy being able to use my phone as a remote and love the upscaling it does with certain programs and streaming services. I even watch directv on it and have no issues with picture quality and use this way more than my TV’s own software.

Love the Apple TV 4K. Spent years with the Firestick. While nice, you could instantly see the difference in speed, user interface, smoothness and storage. If you’re an Apple user, this is a seamless transition. And Apple TV plus has some great programming. Apple fitness, Apple Music. All integrated and simple to use and navigate. Third party apps work flawlessly as well. I was on the fence for a couple of years and finally took the plunge. Now I want another for our second tv.

This little box completely upgraded my TV experience! The A15 Bionic chip makes everything incredibly smooth – apps launch instantly and 4K HDR content looks stunning. I love how seamlessly it integrates with my other Apple devices (AirPods auto-switch is magic). The new Siri Remote feels just right, with a clickpad that’s precise but not fussy. Gaming performance is surprisingly good for casual titles via Apple Arcade. My only complaint? The price is steep compared to basic streaming sticks – but the premium performance and clean, ad-free interface make it worth every penny for Apple.

After using several other streaming sticks & bricks the last few years & being very frustrated at the pathetically slow response times & occasional freezing, i finally decided to give Apple a try with their TV 4k streamer & I couldn't be more than satisfied. Response is immediate, there's no lag when scrolling through your apps & they load promptly & perfectly every single time. The picture is very snapoy & crisp & the sound quality is outstanding. say when I used Amazon Music. I installed all my apps in short order & signing into most of them couldn't have been easier, using my phone to sign into most apps promptly. It also got me to try Apple Music & I couldn't be more satisfied with that after using Amazon Music for a year or so & Tidal before that. The sound is excellent & my CarPlay device in my car plays it without a hitch, more than I could

Bought this to replace my Roku in order to play 4K remuxs via the Infuse Pro app. Absolutely worth it! I also had a Shield and this just looks so much better. If you want a device that works to serve up media files this is a really good option for a set it and forget it. This is primarily used to stream and it works.

I didn't know what I was missing my whole life! Yep - there's a price difference between AppleTv and other streaming "sticks" but the difference is night and day! Cleaner, crisper, brighter picture (even on not so great tvs) - smoother interface, flawless mobility - Apple treats you like royalty with their offerings. They have created devices that consider YOU - not filled with bloatware either! Thats definitely a plus! One of my favorite things - Apple TV "talks" to ALL OTHER APPS!!! Yes - ALL OF THEM! Unlike Fire - who doesn't talk to anyone - When you search something on Apple Tv - it will tell you where it's available...whatever app (even if you don't have it) - Fire only talks to Prime - (BOOO) When I was using Fire - I spent so much money on rentals, all to find out it was on an app I was already paying for - Because Fire didn't talk to my apps - only Prime Channel offerings - NOT ANYMORE! Thank you Apple! I can now use ONE app to find whatever I want - wherever it is! Apple talks to prime and all others. Fire talks ONLY to prime. Its a huge difference. The entire Apple Ecosystem is amazing and this no exception! The experience you get from Apple tv is worth the price, plus some!
