A sleek, small box that gives you all the apps you want via a HDMI input with 4k capabilities. Having owned several variations of both Roku's and Amazon Fire sticks, the major differences are the 'apple' like interface, which is much cleaner of a home page than either of the other streaming sticks, and the remote, which feels much more premium than the others, with its tactile buttons and touch enabled circle pad. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that some of the apps are either neglected from Apple in this product, or have been slightly tweaked in how they work. One example is that using Hulu Plus Live in, say, a Samsung TV Hulu app, the 'back' button on the TV remote will allow you to drop back to the live TV guide, where the back button the Apple TV will exit the Live TV session. Another example is the Netflix app and its slightly tweaked layout. Overall, still a good product.

Considering it comes with the vary nice Siri Remote ($59 at the time of this review) the price for the Apple TV 4K is actually pretty reasonable. Also does not require an external power adapter (brick) like Roku and maybe others.

Apple hit it out of the park with this one. The speed is exceptional, the picture quality is top notch. It puts my smart TV’s built-in system to shame.

Honestly great piece of tech, rivitalized my 4 year old Vizio TV. Blazing fast and has every app you need. I was hesitant at first due to the price but it is 100% worth it if you are frustrated with your built-in TV software. 10/10

Works well and fast. Remote appears sensitive compared to fire stick. Pricy and haven’t yet seen much of a difference, other than speed, comparing to fire stick.

Buying this was a fabulous decision! It has allowed us to cut the cost of watching TV & is super easy to use. I admit that initially, I was sure I wouldn’t be able to figure out how - then I just put that idea out of my mind & discovered I’d been anxious for no reason! It has very few buttons & everything about it is very logical. Just like everything else from Apple!

Bought this to replace one of my Roku Ultras because Roku was starting to show ads on startup. Great quality video ouput. Set it up to turn on TV and sound bar. Really nice remote. Roku's home screen and settings are easier to get around than the AppleTV which is why I didn't give the AppleTV 5 stars.

The screen resolution looks incredible and best streaming device out there, but it’s a little pricey

I got this to replace my built-in Google TV on my Sony because I got tired of seeing ads all the time. The Apple TV works great and is smooth, easy to understand UI. I am normally Google and Samsung for everything else but for streaming where I just want to see the content and no ads or forced apps push to me this is the best device. It is more expensive but worth the cost.

You can't beat the hardware in these. I've compared the video from streaming services on this and a 4K Roku and there is no comparison. Watching Constellation, Severance or other dark scenes were painfully compressed on the Roku but look fantastic on the AppleYV.

I really like the available programming and the unit is very reliable and easy to use. I'm a WWII military history buff and have read "Masters of the Air" by Donald Miller as well as related publications. The series on Apple TV+ is excellent.

Wish I would have switched over years ago. Best streaming platform.
