I purchased an Open Box Apple TV 4K as a Valentine's Day gift for my wife. I had reservations about purchasing an Open Box item, but as this was listed in Excellent condition, I decided to take a chance. The Apple TV 4K was brand new as far as I could tell, with original wrapping and seals around the Apple TV unit, power cable, and remote control. Worked flawlessly and seamlessly, easy to plug in, set up, and get started.

It’s a great TV device. Easy to use, supports all kind of apps. I gave it a 4 because the remote broke the first day when It fell from a coffee table. Just like any other apple device the brake so easy. I love apple but that’s the true.

I’ve had several Apple TV’s and this is the best. It is super easy to use and has great memory for plenty of apps!

I had purchased an Apple TV 4K in August of 2019 ahead of purchasing an lg E965 OLED tv. It delivers as advertised and then some. After setup was completed I was notified by Apple that I received a 1 year free trial subscription to check out Apple TV content such as The Morning Show starring Jennifer Anniston, Reese Witherspoon & Steve Carell. What an unexpected bonus! This is the 2nd Apple TV 4K that I purchased, but as a birthday gift for my son.

I pre-ordered the AppleTV 4K and iPhone 8 at launch and was excited about the ability to record 4K video with my phone and watch it on the TV via Apple's Photos app. When I went to watch my videos though, none of them displayed in 4K. It appears that Apple did not update their services to properly handle 4K content recorded from Apple devices. Additionally I ran into issues with the video not working properly with HDR enabled on my Samsung TV (sometimes there would be banding and colors getting crushed). I also have an Xbox One S and found that the HDR was less problematic there. However, the TV (which is a 2015 model) likely contributed to the problem a little. Also, my TV is supposed to be able to support 4:4:4 color, but I did not see any options on the Apple TV to enable this mode. At the end of the day, without easy and convenient ways to view my own 4K content on it, I simply didn't see enough benefit from the Apple TV 4K over my numerous other devices (Apple TV 3rd Gen, Chromecast, Xbox One S, TiVo Roamio and Samsung Smart TV) that it was worth holding onto. Someone who doesn't have the same ridiculous number of devices might get more value out of it. The 4K HDR video for the Logan did look really nice though ... couldn't tell a big difference from the 4K Blu-ray.

Great device to stream video, 4k picture is excellent and works well with polk omni Sb1 plus. Would recommend Apple tv 4k to everyone.

I've had every generation of the Apple TV, and this on is by far my favorite! Excellent picture, easy set up and streaming.

The 4K feature is great also I use it a lot to stream videos directly from my MacBook Pro and it’s way better than previous versions!

The quality is great and the performance is even better! I bought this to replace my older model.

Got this to work with a new Smart TV for streaming content without cable. The price of this device is rediculous, but I have a lot of Apple TV content and ITunes music so I am stuck with it. This generation has better memory for downloading video streaming and can download any application from the Apple Store. The remote, while much better than previous minimally functional remotes, still needs improvement. The voice command function helps, but the remote is very sensitive to the touch swipe function. It would be nice if Apple provided a learning remote so that you could have all the functions for your TV on one remote. Switching back and forth between applications is also tedious. It would be nice to have the ability to go back to a previous application with one touch. More thought and programming needs to be devoted to how people would like to use the device so that hardware and software changes can be made to improve functionality.

This is MUCH nicer than the old Apple TV. Much easier to use and seems to work OH so much better!

This is perfect especially if you are already an iOS user. My picture quality on streamed content is awesome including live tv. The 4K output is amazing. I should note I ran a 10 GB high speed cable directly to a router port and invested in top hdmi cables. I had to call Apple Support when getting started and they were awesome. I am saving about $80 monthly versus cable with at least the same quality and much more viewing flexibility through the various apps.

I had already upgraded to the 4th gen Apple TV and this new 4K Apple TV is great if you have a 4K television in the house. If you don't, it's not really worth it—but you could future proof in case you do get one in the next few years.

I love the AppleTV integration with my not-smart TV. Plug and play. But I hate the touch pad on the remote. The slightest pressure or accidental brush makes random menus appear that can be maddeningly difficult to dismiss, or it exits the program you are watching altogether. At other times, I swipe left or right or upper down seems to have no effect at all. What an annoyance. After 5 weeks I’m Still not used to it. If possible the remote is even more slippery than the silver version from older AppleTV models. Forever getting lost in the couch cushions or your clothing or falling on the floor and because it’s black you can never find it. But The Siri function on the remote is pretty good. otherwise this generation AppelTV is a good product.

The Apple TV 4K 64GB is a very powerful tool allow for seamless interface between iphone and Apple TV. The hookup and programming new Apps onto the basic Apple TV apps was very and user-friendly. The resolution is very vivid and allows for very realistic interface between applications like hulu, prime, Netflix and many more applications. Since I have fiber internet there is no lag in watching live TV and shows load quickly and no buffering issues.
