I bought a 2017 MacBook Pro which the new USB-C port. I purchased the adapter so my earphones would work with my laptop and the adapter doesn't work. The adapter is an Apple product but when I plug them into my computer the sound still comes out of the computer not out the earphones. Very frustrating. $9 is a lot for a small adapter but not enough to waste making a trip to return them. These adapters should have come with the computer when purchased since Apple changed the design.

There’s 2 issues that happen every time the iPad Pro is locked while this adapter is plugged in. When you unlock the iPad, the facial recognition and wireless internet don’t work. They are fixed by unplugging the adaptor and plugging it back in. I’m hoping there’s a software update that will fix this bug.

this product outputs half the sound you'd normally have. I just switched to android from an iPhone and this dongle doesn't produce the correct amount of volume.

Terrible sound. Does not work with Android devices or with non Apple earphones.

This headphone jack turned out to be for android phones, NOT apple. I was shocked when it wouldn’t fit in the port because it was packaged in legitimate Apple packaging.
