    Used this to connect a Klipsch set to an iMac, since the headphone jack was noisy. Works as expected and noise no longer present.

    With Apples current "intentionally-designed-in limitations" requiring iPad owners of the newer iPads to purchase various assorted additional cables to be able to take advantage of many of the most basic standard functions, like plug in audio output for headphones, etc ... this somewhat overly costly cable adapter is a necessary (and easy to loose) necessity. (This assumes that WiFi/wireless connections are not always the perfect or best option for all consumers)!

    Apple does not have a headphone jack on this tablet. You will want this accessory for sure.
