This is a great item to have when you only have ear phones that have a 3mm jack. The new 12.9 iPad pro has a different connection.

Was waiting to get this for a while and finally did. Very worth it! I never liked Bluetooth devices because there’s always a little bit of latency, but this completely eliminates that because I can plug in whatever headphone Jack-based headphones or microphone I may need.

I primarily use this in my car via an auxiliary cable through the radio. I have a pixel phone and have the Google version of this. I can tell why this one is cheap. The materials feel breakable when handled. The main difference I notice is quality compared to Google's version. I have to max out my volume on the radio to get any kind of loud play from my phone. I do also have the phone volume up, just to cover that. Also, there is a reduction in bass to the songs I am used to listening to. If you are doing calls, I'm sure it's fine unless you have a lot of road noise in your car. But now hearing the difference, not a good pick for music use.

This is a really important device that allows users to plug in regular wired headphones into cellphones that no longer feature a headphone jack, converting USB-C to 3.5 mm. It does this job exceedingly well, with excellent fidelity.
