    This jack has performed very well to-date. The down side to this jack is that it has to be used at all. The iPadAir, and all other upgrades from the original iPad, should have a built-in headphone jack (like the original). This is just one more piece of the total package that is subject to loss or breakage which renders the iPad useless in private listening or conversations.
