Just had to go into the sound settings on the laptop and set the input and output to be the headphone jack adapter bc I didn’t know it wouldn’t automatically recognize it and do it on its own. Still new to my MacBook.

Only thing that was worrying was that the cable is thin, compared to google's adapter. Luckily haven't torn any yet. Used for my samsung phone to connect headphones.
