I have a pixel phone and have the Google version of this. I can tell why this one is cheap. The materials feel breakable when handled. The main difference I notice is quality compared to Google's version. I have to max out my volume on the radio to get any kind of loud play from my phone. I do also have the phone volume up, just to cover that. Also, there is a reduction in bass to the songs I am used to listening to. If you are doing calls, I'm sure it's fine unless you have a lot of road noise in your car. But now hearing the difference, not a good pick for music use.
