Works, but very flimsy and low quality low volume audio. This is the only one they stock in-store. Do yourself a favor and order a nicer one like the belkin rockstar from bestbuy online.

They only last a few months. And that's without even a lot of use. Apple really f'd these up good. Much much much better out there.

I needed the adapter to use my wired earbuds with my IPhone. I just bought in October and already need a replacement! At $9, still less costly than a new set of earbuds..

I primarily use this in my car via an auxiliary cable through the radio. I have a pixel phone and have the Google version of this. I can tell why this one is cheap. The materials feel breakable when handled. The main difference I notice is quality compared to Google's version. I have to max out my volume on the radio to get any kind of loud play from my phone. I do also have the phone volume up, just to cover that. Also, there is a reduction in bass to the songs I am used to listening to. If you are doing calls, I'm sure it's fine unless you have a lot of road noise in your car. But now hearing the difference, not a good pick for music use.

On my Samsung Galaxy S20 FE you have to almost max out the volume to get a loud enough sound otherwise as a DAC it's pretty good especially when I used it for my laptop. If you own a Samsung device buy a Samsung USB C to 3.5mm adapter, not this. You're of course going to pay a few bucks more but you won't have an issue with the volume level, unlike this adapter.

I absolutely love how easy it was to hook up to plug and play. However the device also lowers the capacity for clear and precise audio quality from the headset you're using it on. So I strongly advise that you either find another converter piece or buy a headset that has a lot enough audio system in it to literally replace the 50% loss, from using this device

I purchased this for use on a Samsung phone - because it was in stock and allegedly compatible with any USB-C device. It works - but the audio volume produced is VERY LOW. I had the phone turned up to full, and compared the audio level to other sources I have plugged in to my professional mixer. Clearly much lower - and unusable in most cases where a louder signal is needed. Going with the Google version to see if it is better. Unfortunately, I already tossed the packaging, so I'm going to eat the $10 paid for this one. Lesson learned.

Got these to go along with my apple earbuds. They work GREAT for my gaming laptop. No nonsense, it just works. BUT when i tried it on my samsung s23 ultra, it doesn't work. It only worked maybe once or twice and it was extremely quiet and bad quality. Looking for other brands now.

Other reviews lead me to believe this would work with an Android phone. Nope. On my Samsung Galaxy and Pixel phones you have to crank the volume to max to hear anything. Google tells me that Apple uses a lower voltage. Also, the cord is really thin and feels very delicate. Will return. I guess I should mix robots and fruit.

Only get this for an Apple product. I spoke with the gentleman and that store and asked if there would be an issue with it on a Samsung phone and he assured me its USB-C so it would work fine. Turns out the volume is super low on adroid because how the software reads the dongle as a dac. Only solution is 3rd party software or rooting the phone. It worked but not well at all.

I bought this for use in my iPhone with the usb-c port so I could plug in my Bose wired headphones. It only works when you have the adapter plugged in correctly. Like a USB-A cord, if you plug it in upside down it doesn’t work so I have the flip it over. Since it is actually a USB-C connector and should work either way it’s kind of annoying.

Same as my review for the iphone adapter. They just dont last. A month or two and it doesnt work properly. Needs sturdier wiring. Definitley short term use in the car.

Works in a pinch, but only if youre okay with HALF the total volume. Good for headphones, bad for aux connected devices like automotive radios or stereo systems. Spend the extra few dollars for the google or samsung one.

I purchased this adapter for Galaxy S21 and my aux cable in my car. It works, but I found I had to turn the volume up on both my phone and in my car to MAX to get full sound... not a big deal, but I do have to remember to turn the car volume back down before unplugging it so my ears dont explode when the car reverts to radio (pretty annoying.) Since, Ive purchased another adapter online and I dont have that problem-it plays at "normal" volume with my dial levels matching for radio, cd, or aux with my phone.

I bought this prior to receiving the new iPhone 15 back when it released so I could use my headphones with them straight away, but these do not support microphone input like the lightning adapters did. The DAC specifications are also just shy of the Apple Music's own lossless streaming quality. I'm really not sure how this product made it out the door.

The Apple USB-C adapter limits volume, compared to other brands: Google, Samsung, etc. Plugging into my dash, the audio was significantly LOWER than other brands.
