I recently purchased a mid-2019 MacBook Pro which has four Thunderbolt 3 plugins which have the USB-C type plugs. If you have devices that have the regular USB plugs you will need this adapter. I use the adapter to connect my cameras and external hard drive and it works as intended.

The shape is a little strange but it’s really useful for connecting my Bluetooth mouse and other usb devices with ease

Exactly what I needed. Granted it's at a higher price point than similar non-Apple brand products, but it's worth it to me to pay the extra for the quality and to not have compatibility issues.

Perfect accessory for any Mac user. Must have item if you use thumb drives any. Simple and straight forward to use. I’ve even used it to put files on my iPad.

...but not everyone, so Apple did not include a USB port on the MACBOOK PRO. I happen to have a need for a USB port, and this adapter fit my needs to a T, and enabled me to purchase a very compact, portable MacBook, and I have access to a USB port when I need one.

Great adaptor to connect and use an external hard drive. Too bad this is needed due to corporate greed.

Like most Apple products, this adapter costs more than the competition but is very well built and works like a charm. I was willing to pay more for the quality and peace of mind. Works perfectly with both my 2020 MacBook Air and my 2020 iMac.

It solves the apple problem of transferring from another source

Bought this with hesitation since there are so many other products available that do the same thing. But since it was on sale it was cheaper than competitors and I always love Apple products over the competitors. Glad I went with this product, works flawlessly and I can tell it will last. Great product!

Easy to use with MacBookPro and Seagate Backup. I needed an adapter to connect my Sea Gate backup drive to new MacBook Pro. This USB-C is easy to use and fit perfectly.

For all those Mac users that upgraded their Macs in the last few years, you definitely need this. All of those old devices on USB won't plug into your new computer without this adapter. And since it's Apple brand, it will last.

I could use my mouse that I have had and will not do without unless I had this adapter cord. It’s a really good quality cord. I have never had an issue with it. Connection is great. I like the size of it. I would definitely buy again.

Being an Apple product, this adapter is known to work 100%. At the current, reduced price of $9, it is a real deal for accessing older USB devices with a MacBook Pro. Of course, if you buy one of the other adapters, it is not likely needed, but, I find it easier to pull this adapter out when traveling.

Item was exactly as I expected and worked wonderfully for transferring pictures from a USB to my MacBook

when you spend $2700 on a laptop, you would think that you would get EVERYTHING you need with that laptop, but you are buying Apple so you know that isn't the case. I am a huge fan of my purchase, and would do it again in a second. This is something you have to have, since most accessories haven't transitioned over to the USB C way of life yet, there will be a time in the future to where we will not need extra dongles, but this is 2018 and dongles are a way of life in the Apple World..... well if you are using their latest and greatest it is...

It is what it is…an adapter to allow the use of an older USB drive with a newer Macintosh. It’s a valid complaint that these things are too expensive, but they are well built and very reliable, too.

Easy to connect a USB to an Apple MacBook Pro laptop. As a user who saves everything to a d: drive, I need a USB connected when I am working on any documentation, excel spreadsheets, genealogy, etc. so that I can save all my work and not have it cluttering up my hard drive on computer.

It's super easy to use, the quality is amazing, and it feels like it will hold up over time!
