I purchased this adapter to work with a new CD/DVD unit that I purchased to go with my new iMac computer. The Apple CD/DVD player only had a regular USB, so needed this adapter to be able to plug into my USB-C drive. Works perfect!

This item is a must if you have accesories that pre-date the USB-C domination. Which is still today as we speak. Keyboards are still sold with the ubiquitous USB type A connector. I went even further back in time, with my trusty Belkin PS/2 to USB adapter which then connects to this USB-C adapter and I'm typing this review right now with my Cherry PS/2 mechenical keyboard with borwn switches which feel so good and tactile. Apple computers with a mechanical keyboards and an Apple Magic Trackpad is perfection right there.

This is a great attachment for MacBook before they switch to USB-C so any MacBooks that have lightning cables this is a great product if you have something with a type C charger and need to connect to it

I love this I'm not as adept as using the mouse on the laptop scrolling and tapping, I prefer to have my mouse and click and go. great for seniors who want to adapt your current items to use USBC to USB adapter, its really cost efficient.

Bought it for the external Apple USB hard drive because the other 3rd party adapter would work with the hard drive. This one worked like a charm.

I'm using these adapters to interface my new MacBook Pro USB-C ports with my two external hard drives. One uses mini A USB to USB-A. the other is USB 3.0 Micro B to USB-A. Both work great. I have also used my Garmin 2597 with this adapter. Took some experimenting but I finally got the MacBook to recognize the Garmin once I removed the micro SD card from the Garmin. So, if your trying to connect a Garmin GPS don't forget to remove the micro SD card prior to attempting to update the GPS. Highly recommend to all!!!

This is a must have since it only has usb c connections on the MacBook, might wanna look into a hyper drive option as well.

Very simple cable. Used to add files to iPad. Even tested it with USB mice and works well, too. Works great.
