This is a must have if you have devices that use USB to hook up to your MacBook.

Apple products are constantly ridiculed because of the price tags but in reality they make their products semi proprietary and i say that strictly because they want to make sure that if you own one of their products you will get the best service and quality by only buying their version of the accessory. They all work but, these are guaranteed to have the best compatibility.

What else is there to say. It's a USB C adapter that allows you to use a more common USB A device with your MacBook. Insert and use. Simple! DO NOT REMOVE WITHOUT EJECTING DEVICE FIRST!! There is a risk of damaging or losing the data on your device if you don't do this properly!

Purchased for integrating a microphone connection to an iMac. Works as promised, quite happy with it. Prefer OEM to outside vendors, for the little nuances. Would recommend.

Price is appropriate, probably not too high or too low based on demand, because this is a simple adapter from USBC to "traditional" USB. Body is slender, so it's fairly unobtrusive until you get to the point at which the adapter connects with traditional USB. Then, it can be a little bulky. But this is a no-brainer for a simple, effective, relatively cheap way to deal with the "work around' of having a new USBC ports.

Apple makes great products which is why they are very reliable. Using this to power my Sony Radio for my car has been smooth and with no issues. Knowing that everything will work smoothly with my Apple device is reassuring.

The item worked for connecting my Line 6 amplifier to my iPad Pro. I would suggest buying an adapter with mutliple ports though if you ever want to hook up HDMI or be able to charge your iPad while using the USB A connection.

One needs this adapter with all the new MacBooks now. My daughter connects her printer to the MacBook using this. adapter. She left the adapter with the printer and when she needs to print, she just plug it into her MacBook. Very convenient. She loved it. We also bought one that has multiple USB C ports but that was a waste of money. She did not need that one but just uses this single port USB-C adapter.
