The item works great, but in total Apple fashion, they make you buy stuff that is just included in every other product.

I was badly in need of an adapter because I upgraded my apple laptop and had no way of access my files for work at home off my external drive. Barely made it to the store before it closed. This totally came through in the clutch. Works perfect with external drive and iphone.

I just purchased a new 2017 macbook with usb-c ports. This adapter helped expand into my existing usb devices with no issues.

Was told the new port is the wave of the future and soon this adapter will be useless because all accessories will use the new USB-C but I’m not falling for it. But yes you definitely need it to hook up anything to your Mac that uses an USB. But what’s weird is you need an adapter to use the new Apple EarPods as the connection on the computer is the old round style. Geez Apple pick a lane

Connect easily in MacBook Pro. Easier to do all the back up and data transfer from iPhone.

I purchased this to go along with the wife's MacBook pro as she does a lot on her computer and she wanted to take advantage of hooking this up to her 24" monitor. We haven't tried to hook up to TV yet but i'm sure she would enjoy that visual as well.

Gave this product 4 stars only because there was only one USB port. Works good but with apple would have added in a extra port.

This product is essential if you buy the new MacBook. There is a $70 dollar usb-c to usb 3.0, HDMI, and something else, but the usb 3.0 port is all most people will ever need. (Plus $70 is kinda pricey for a converter!!) There aren't any 3rd party converters that seem any good. You're better off sticking with Apple.

Works great! I use it to transport pictures from a SD card and flash drive never had any problems works great!

this is a great thing to have if you have alot if Apple products to use together with a laptop

Another overpriced Apple product. Would you like a dongle for your dongle to attach another dongle. Well by this dongle to attach your USB mouse or keyboard. Don't lose it otherwise you have buy another one. I would recommend the offbrand ones that have more connections from China. Wouldn't recommend, keep moving.

Does what it's supposed to do. It is a little annoying to need the adapter, but hey I bought the mac knowing I would need it.

I was glad to find this at Best Buy. This converters cable was perfect and reliable for my purposes. It is well constructed and should last a long time. I did not notice it heating up at all.

I had to purchase this Apple USB adapter in order to use my printer , passport and CD drive when i purchased a new Mac. It works great and i am now able to utilize these items. The price was excellent.

another way for apple to make you spend more money, by changing their attachments but this one works fine.
