This worked in a pinch where I needed to use a USB-A Thumb drive. No issues with MacOS or the VM I was using to pick this up. It's also good if you need to charge something and you only have a USB-A connector.

I purchased this along with my new MacBook. There's not much to say about this product. It does what its made to due. However, those who travel and want to use a portable charger along with a standard USB cable, this adapter does not work. You will have to purchase a separate USB to USB-C cable for that.

This adapter does exactly what it says. It converts a USB-C port to a USB-A port. Build quality is good, as one would expect from Apple. But this adapter is EXPENSIVE. I purchased it because an Apple adapter was required by my company. But, I personally wouldn't buy this and would get a much cheaper alternative. I would not recommend unless you truly want Apple specifically.

Just used for this 1st time last night. Was kinda tight to get usb drive in, but worked fine.

Crucial connection piece that no one told me about and required a second trip to Best Buy to purchase.

It works fine, the few times I have used it. I wish Apple would stop changing their electronics in a way which require us to keep buying new cords, chargers, adaptors, cases, screen protectors, etc. This forced obsolescence is something most of us cannot afford, but is very lucrative for Apple.

This adapter allowed me to connect my camera and i was able to edit videos I had recorded on my camera. Great product.

Knocked it down for forcing me to get it for the Super Drive. Otherwise, works great!

Great for my computer. Can sync pictures from my iPhone or digital camera to my computer by using this adapter.

Does the job and good price. Just wish was a tad bit longer.

A super necessary adapter for the MacBook at least till we have all hard disks and Pendrive supporting USB c. It's really sad that one has to buy this adapter separately. It would have been better if apple just gave this along with the laptop considering the price of the new MacBook.

I hate that Apple did away with USB-A ports on their new MacBook Pro’s but if you need a way to connect peripheral devices, this is the way to go. I used it to connect my SuperDrive so that I can burn some documents as a backup. Works perfectly as it should

Since the new Apple laptops only have USB-C ports I needed a way to access my flash drives. This is perfect for that. It also allows me to use my USB to lightning cables so I can charge my phone, mouse, and laptop. This is a definite must have item if you chose the MacBook Pro!

A family member helped us to find the correct adapter. it is reasonably priced and we were able to put it to immediate use. Even tough we didn't need assistance, the staff was ready to help.

I hate that the new MacBook Pro doesn't have a built-in usb port but this one works fine and it's strong.

Needed this for new apple computer. Works great but is pricey. Wish everything did need to be bought separately.

With technology updating and ports changing on their devices, this was a necessary purchase for my new MacBook Pro due to the port changes. At first I felt that it was just one more thing needed and one more thing to carry around but I have yet to feel a burden of this item.
