Great for car use

I use it with a dashboard phone holder, and it is the perfect length. It does not get caught in the shifter or tangled up with any other cords, like GPS.

Nice & small adapter

Although an off-brand may have been cheaper, I don't have as much confidence in their quality. With Apple products, I've never had a problem.
