Allows me to connect to my reader and down load data to my MacBook Pro.

I had to get this at first to connect my external hard drive to my macbook pro but now im learning easy ways to deal with that.

the new MacBook retina 12" is slick. unfortunately it comes at the expense of built-in ports on the laptop. for a $1300 laptop, this accessory should be included in the box. however, apple chose the money-grab option, and forces the customer to buy this necessary accessory for an additional $20. this most basic adapter only allows for a single usb connection (usb 3+ I believe), however once you plug it in, you cannot simultaneously charge the laptop. I bought this first, as the adapter I wanted (the one that has power pass-through, hdmi, and usb) was not available for purchase until recently. this adapter is very limited, but a usb hub may increase it's utility. do yourself a favor, skip this accessory, and buy the adapter(s) with more functionality (though the extra $60 ($80 each) for those isn't something to sneeze at).

Nice product for the money. Be better if it just had been built in to Mac like other laptops.

Does just what it is suppose to do - connect my external backup drive (USB) to my new MacBook Pro (USBC). Cable works flawlessly.

Works exactly as it should. I’m able to connect my mice to my MacBook, and all other usb connected devices with no issues!

awesome product user friendly portable and very functional

Bought 2 and planning on buying 2 more. Works great and nice to grab Flash Drive and just plug it into computer. I have 4 Flash Drives and want one for each. Have never had any type of connection issue. Seems a little pricy at $20. Great item to buy with points.

A great adapter works with the DVD player and my iPad as well. I can connect older USB devices to my newer devices.

Does what I need. I use it for school and photography. I would recommend it to anyone who needs an adapter for usb.

This adapter is wonderful. It gives me the capability to connect my other devices easily to my new ipad or new MacBook pro to combine files faster. With apole changing the ports it would otherwise be difficult to do so.

bought this solely so I could reinstall Steam OS on my steamdeck after self installing a larger drive to it. works with all devioces if you need this style of adapter

It is a must have if you want to be able to charge older Apple products. They changed to usb c port. If you look at older products the cable charge is square.. Not it is rounded I have 2 monitors that I use and you must have the adapter to connect to your monitors

I never want to have only one power supply for my MacBook Pro, for I want one in my travel bag and one for the office. But the power supplies for the newer MacBook Pro's come without a cable to connect them to the computer. This is the needed cable. It works, it is needed, and it is rather tough. Maybe I should get a spare?

After purchasing a new laptop, I noticed that it had a USB-C port, which I likely would never use. By converting it to a regular USB port by using the adapter, I now have the minimum number of USB port available that I might need.

I have multiple devices that I wanted to use with my iPad Pro. Unfortunately, Apple doesn't allow you to use an external hard drive, but there are still plenty of devices that can be used with the iPad pro. I have multiple input devices that I use with garage band and this easily allows me to connect them.

Works great. Now I can print easily with my Apple laptop.

Standard Apple USB-C to USB-A adapter, works well.
