We have 2 MAC laptops and both have USB C plugs only which makes this adapter a necessity. It fits well, clicks in and stays. We have tried off brands which just fall out.

I am using this cable to connect USB thumb drives to the USB-C port on my 2016 MacBook Pro. It works flawlessly. Just make sure you fully seat the thumb drive into the USB port. Can also be used to connect any other USB device to your MacBook Pro such as iPhone, CD/DVD drive etc.

Helped me a lot when i needed to put my stuff from iPad to Flash Drive. So easy to use and comes handy when you really need to transfer something from iPad. I recommend this to people facing trouble transferring data from iPad.

I mean, it’s an adaptor…it works as intended. I am partial to buying genuine Apple products. I may spend more, but I only have to buy them once and they always work.

We use usb drives to move embroidery patterns from our HP allin1 to the embroidery machines. Problem is HP put the USB ports on the back where they’re quite a pain to access. They did put a usb C on the bottom. This adapter lets us switch drives in and out no problem!

When my two Windows desktop computers both lost the hard drives, there was no panic as I was able to access files I had put on a SD card with my iPad Air, I didn't even have to read any instructions it works!

Bought this to use my older USB devices without having to attach a hub to my MacBook Pro. No issues, and unlike the USB-C/USB-A hub I have, does send enough power to prevent my laptop from emitting low power warnings when trying to use my SuperDrive. Would buy again.

I was so annoyed when I noticed my new computer didn’t have a USB port but was so happy to find this adapter!! It has been working perfectly!! I just leave it plugged up to my computer at all times. Now, I just have to buy one with an hdmi combo!

This worked well after the first few times I put my flash drives in it. The first couple times were tough to fit my usb drive in. However, the first one I purchased (exact same one - Apple Brand) had no issues whatsoever and worked great - all of my USB cables connected perfectly. Sadly my dog ate the first one so I had to get another one. My second one was the one that was tight at first but works great now and I haven't had any problems with it other than the first few times.

Compact and easy to store and accompany my laptop. Excellent thing to have with the additional devices necessary maximize production.

Annoyed at the fact that I have to even buy this adapter because I think that Apple should have USB ports on their latest Mac Book Pros. I mean it works, but whatever as long as Apple makes a little more money off people this way, why not? Only recommending this because there are very little other options available to consumers, other than just buying another laptop from another company and not having to deal with this in the first place.

Light weight and fast. Fairly priced. Perfect for a temporary use of a USB device such as transferring files from a drive but if you are planning to charge your MacBook while connected through USB you may want to consider another one whic has two plugs (Charging + USB).

So I'm an upcoming youtuber and I have a MacBook Pro, the newer version with no USB port so I had to purchase a usbc so I can transfer my camera data to my computer. Don't get me wrong the usbc does the job the only thing I dislike about it is that it has a real tight grip on whatever's connected to it and usually takes some strength to get whatever usb cord you connected to it out of it safely and properly. Otherwise I would say its a good item to be purchased!

Of course. Apple changed its port on the MacBook, when everything is still so usb driven. Picked this up along with my MacBook Pro and it’s allowed me to plug in my iPhone, iPod touch, printers & various other things. Works effectively with no issues.

At the time as USB-C is still not yet the norm, this adapter will be pretty much required for most users of a new MacBook. USB has become so commonplace so if you want to access any flash drives you have lying around, you’ll need one of these!
