Works Perfectly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to help in setup of a Retina MacBook Air. No problems at all. Plugged in standard USB 2 external disk to transfer files and was quickly done. Now using that same disk as Time Machine backup.

But it does keep the form factor thin. However, this is just a review for the adaptor...and it does exactly what it needs to.

(Now I prefer that Apple keeps its products light by having USB-C ports only and use this extra adapter when needed).

Other brands are no where near as reliable. This has worked perfectly every time. I use it every week in teaching.

Another forced purchase by apple
