    You can likely find cheaper. But if you "get" Apple, you aren't interested in cheaper so much as you want it to work, perfectly, all the time. So yes even for a dongle, Apple.

    A necessity for the newer model MacBook Pro's. Works great for what it is. Tried two of the cheaper versions. Apple was the only one that worked reliably for me.

    Definitely an important buy for the macbook. I use it to plug in my mouse and is absolutely necessary. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs usb plugs for the macbooks

    Love USB-C, but I do hate to have an adapter, but until we get rid of USB A which has been around since the mid 90s we will still need adapters. Have not had any issues with USB devices using this adapter.
