Purchased this OTG to be able to connect an external thumb drive to my Samsung phone and Samsung Galaxy Tab A, to play music and videos off my thumb drive. It works as expected, but one caution: when attaching this to your Galaxy Tablet, it may not work at first. When I was deciding on purchasing this at Best Buy, I told the assistant that I wanted to be sure that this actually worked on the new Samsung Galaxy Tab A I was also purchasing. He gave it a try and at first it did not recognize the thumb drive. He brought the entire unit over to the Geek Squad and I don't know what they did, but it ended up working. When I insert a new thumb drive now, it takes a bit of time for the tablet to recognize the thumb drive - perhaps because it first makes an inventory the the thumb's contents before giving the message that it recognizes the contents of the thumb drive. Also, some of my thumb drives needed to be "fixed" (my computer actually kept asking me if I wanted these thumb drives to be "fixed" and I'd kept answering NO for fear that it might just reformat the contents. But actually the contents are not harmed, and the thumb drives are "fixed" whatever that means...no explanation as to what was in need of being fixed. Anyway, once fixed, the tablet recognizes the thumb drives.

Extremely easy to use! I bought this to use with my new MacBook. I’ve most recently used it for my laptop mouse and usb drives.

This works but was more expensive than some other versions. Wish I had tried the insignia version, would have been a much better value and I’m very happy with my other insignia adapter.

2 years ago I invested in better quality charging cables for my iPhone. Then last year I had to get a new Mac and then saw that it used USB C. This adapter allowed me to use my iPhone charging cable with my computer using the adapter. Obviously cheaper than getting all new cables and anyway without the adapter I can still plug it into my outlet strip which accepts only the old USB. Am glad that so far that my 2 year old cables are still working fine and so is this adapter.

Well...what can I say? Not everything has gotten upgraded to Type C even though it is the current and future standard. Until then, we gotta charge our power banks, external HDDs, headphones, cameras, etc. via USB old school. One important thing to note is you lose the USB C standard charging speeds. I know for my phone this dips from about 5V 3A to about 2.1A at the maximum. The USB Type A is substandard and must only be used for things that cannot be connected via Type C. I'm sure you could find something cheaper via 3rd-party. This does the job though and is excellent quality, built to last at least about an year (hopefully).

I purchased a MacBook and needed to add a USB port. The size is small and it works well.

Strong connection and fast power delivery. Recommended.

Just bought it to not have to upgrade every charger in my house. Been useful and good quality. Nice little adaptor!

It works for its purpose. A much cheaper alternative to buying a keyboard case for my iPad Air. I will mostly use a keyboard with my iPad at home so didn’t need to pay the premium on a specialty case. Also works well with a wired mouse.

I love this adapter! Useful for school and work when I need a USB connection. I podcast a lot and this is very helpful owning a MacBook Air.

It does exactly what I wanted it to do hooked up to my iPad to view a thumb drive that I was anxious to see

I am not a “Geek,” so I don’t use all the applications in my Mac Air I purchased a few months ago. I love it, but I was dismayed when my printer cord I used with my old Notebook would not attach to my new Mac Air. I DID not want to buy a new printer! As I said, I am not a geek, so I headed to Best Buy expecting to have to spend big bucks to fix the problem. The salesman was GREAT. He explained my options and I walked out with an inexpensive adapter that works wonderfully! Thank you, Best Buy!

This cord works well to allow use legacy devices using usb-a/b with current hardware that only has usb c ports. I wish the cord was either longer or shorter.

Works great! Was able to offload bunch of pix and data files to usb flash drive to free up space on both my iPhone and iCloud capacity.

Easy to connect a USB to an Apple MacBook Pro laptop. As a user who saves everything to a d: drive, I need a USB connected when I am working on any documentation, excel spreadsheets, genealogy, etc. so that I can save all my work and not have it cluttering up my hard drive on computer.

This takes up no space and is a necessity if you're working with standard USB attachments. I also have a hub but like the ease of using this instead of my Hyper-Drive (which I love) when working with a single item. It's also nice if you need to access three USB-powered devices and have the hub like mine. And the price is nice.

Perfect connectivity with my IPad and USB devices, I purchased this to use a gateway connector on my IPad that only comes with USB. Price was really fair and it works perfectly every time, others I have tried did not always connect

This is a good product. If you have a macbook pro and want to use a USB drive, you have to have one of these. It is frustrating that they dont just include one in the box. You would think they would for how much you spend for the computer but overall it's great and works how expected.
