With the speeds that USB-C offers, you should use a good quality cord to max out the connection. With all the sellers out there, how do you know which one is good? You should be able to trust Apple. However, do you really need all that speed? So you could use a cheaper one to accomplish everyday transfers. But, you do need a good one every now and then, so get one and buy it on sale like I did.

This little thing is very useful to attach usb-A stuff (thumb drives etc.). Only problem is that it IS small an easy to misplace.

The adapter help me to quickly save my files from my Mac! It was easy to install and use. I like it because it’s small and easy to store.

For photography, I still use flash drives, so having this is perfect since MacBooks don’t have flash drive slots. It works fast, and is easy to just plug in to my MacBook and is portable! I would recomment to every flash drive user with a MacBook!

LIKES: Compactness; Works DISLIKES: Cost I purchased this accessory to use with my iPhone, specifically using it to connect it to USB A/B ports. It works, and I have no complaints other than its cost. You can buy a new cable, but it will not fit in your pocket or your wallet.

It works for its purpose. A much cheaper alternative to buying a keyboard case for my iPad Air. I will mostly use a keyboard with my iPad at home so didn’t need to pay the premium on a specialty case. Also works well with a wired mouse.

2 years ago I invested in better quality charging cables for my iPhone. Then last year I had to get a new Mac and then saw that it used USB C. This adapter allowed me to use my iPhone charging cable with my computer using the adapter. Obviously cheaper than getting all new cables and anyway without the adapter I can still plug it into my outlet strip which accepts only the old USB. Am glad that so far that my 2 year old cables are still working fine and so is this adapter.

This takes up no space and is a necessity if you're working with standard USB attachments. I also have a hub but like the ease of using this instead of my Hyper-Drive (which I love) when working with a single item. It's also nice if you need to access three USB-powered devices and have the hub like mine. And the price is nice.

I'm not sure what there is to say about a USB adapter. It reliably bridges the gap between my oldish external hard drive and my newish MacBook.

This is a good product. If you have a macbook pro and want to use a USB drive, you have to have one of these. It is frustrating that they dont just include one in the box. You would think they would for how much you spend for the computer but overall it's great and works how expected.

Very durable Item to connect any USB devices to Apple Macbooks, like an extra LED Light for Studies. :-)

Easy to use and works with all of my Apple devices. I can use it for my wireless mouse, SD card readers, thumb drives and more. The adapter isn't big so it doesn't get in the way which I love.

Quality is great, fits in the MacBook Pro usb c port perfectly. And this is an apple product which comes with the one year standard warranty so your protected from any faulty cables if that is to be the case. So far has worked like a charm bearing able to plug usb cables into this usb c adapter.

This cord works well to allow use legacy devices using usb-a/b with current hardware that only has usb c ports. I wish the cord was either longer or shorter.

Just bought it to not have to upgrade every charger in my house. Been useful and good quality. Nice little adaptor!

Genuine Apple USB connector, very convenient to use.

I am not a “Geek,” so I don’t use all the applications in my Mac Air I purchased a few months ago. I love it, but I was dismayed when my printer cord I used with my old Notebook would not attach to my new Mac Air. I DID not want to buy a new printer! As I said, I am not a geek, so I headed to Best Buy expecting to have to spend big bucks to fix the problem. The salesman was GREAT. He explained my options and I walked out with an inexpensive adapter that works wonderfully! Thank you, Best Buy!

This is a great way to try out the new quick-charge feature on your iPhone 8, 8 Plus or X. You will plug the USB-C end into the USB-C port on an AC adapter with POWER DELIVERY, and plug your lightning cable’s USB end into this, and then you can watch the magic happen as you juice your new phone in record time! Just ask your Best Buy associate to point you at the right adapter. I recommend the 29 watt power adapter the MacBook Air uses. Anything over that won’t increase your charge speed (they also have a 40-something watt and one much higher, but those are just wasted money when it comes to a phone charger).
