This is a great accessory for the MacBook and one you will use quite frequently especially if you use the Mac to charge your phone or for using a USB drive.

I think Apple should have included this given the price of their machines but they love to extract your money with new special accessories. I hate giving it 5 stars but you will need this.

Fast and convenient to plug in my iPhone. This is the best plug for any Apple product because it can go into any device while it is going fast

It worked great for my needs. A friend of mine had it and I decided to buy it. I decided to return because it didn’t fit my needs. I will buy it again to try it out again

I wasn’t sure if this adapter would be useful but it’s actually so convenient and helpful. I like charging my phone from my laptop so this adapter allows me to do that.

I had to get one of these to go with my new mac book pro because there are no USB ports. I have not used it yet but it is small and compact and easy to have around for when you need it.

Works exactly as advertised. When on sale it is about the same price as other brands. This is an Apple original part so I didn't mind paying a little more.

I have a MacBook 2015 and use this for my external hard drive and thumb drive. It is solid, fast, and very portable. Slightly on the expensive side, but that's because it is branded Apple product.

I have a few items I still use with my new MacBook that have a USB connector. This adapter allows me to continue to use these devices without purchasing a whole new device.

While it’s frustrating that Apple doesn’t have USB ports, this can solve that problem. Works fine and allows me to hook up older devices that don’t use USB-C.

Works exactly as it should, was able to connect my key board to my laptop wothout issue.

Notwithstanding the fact that Apple is ridiculous for making these dongles a thing, the item works as expected and allows me to connect "regular" usb devices to my macbook.

Apple kinda sucks because they keep changing ports and we have to keep buying these but Best Buy made it easy! Good purchase.

As you probably know, the new 2016 MacBook Pros have no other I/O ports except USB-C. So for you to be able to plug in you older USB Drives and other peripherals this accessory is a must have!

Love this. It isn't always convenient to find a C cable for the newer devices. This eliminates that problem and allows me to use my older cables instead of buying more.

If all of your upgrades for Apple are brand new then you probably won’t need this. If you still have an older iPhone though, you will need this to connect your phone to your MacBook.
