    Since USB-C is now the new standard, this adapter is necessary to connect your older IOS devices to the newest MacBook Pro. Fast charging and data transfer. Can't really ask for more.

    I am finally able to clone the my usb thumb drives to mi iPad Pro with the usb-c all which happened after the updates from Apple as this would not work before!

    So, this device does it's job. I have no issues whatsoever. What would actually be nicer is a device without the cable: just one end USB-C and the other USB. Maybe that's for a later model.
