I recently bought the new MacBook 12 inch laptop and needed a way to connect my external drives to the USB C port. This is a must purchase if you get the newest apple laptops.

Although I am not a fan of Apple's propensity to change designs in order to force consumers to buy new accessories, this item works well. Wish there was no need for it.

I bought this even though I could have bought a cheaper cable from another company but I think it is best to stick with Apple cables for my computer to get the most out of my machine

It's sad that Apple has made it so difficult to connect to external devices or data storage, but we Mac users quickly adapt. if your external device can not connect wirelessly to your Mac or you just want fast connectivity, you need this adapter. A bit pricey but do not just buy one, because you will need several.

Overall, this is a good adapter for using the usb ports on the macbook pro. While it is a hassle plugging in multiple cords, this works pretty well for one.
