    Since Apple only put a USB-C port on its new MacBook Air, this adapter is perfect for connecting electronics that use the older USB to it.

    I purchased this to connect older USB drives, external hard disks, and external DVD drives to my new MacBook Pro with USB C/Thunderbolt 3 ports. It works as advertised.

    Does what it's supposed to do: connect devices with USB type A ports to Macs with type C ports. It might be nice if they included it in the box, but it's not a big deal.

    USB-C to USB adapters are required if you need to connect any USB devices to a MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. I recommend 1 for each device because plugging and disconnecting a device from the USB connection side on the adapter is not smooth (the USB-C connection side easily plugs into the laptop). The connection on the USB side fits snug and needs some force to plug and unplug. If you’re cost conscious, buy 1 or 2 and see if you can deal with plugging and unplugging your devices. Overall, these adapters are mandatory if you need to connect your USB devices to a USB-C connection on your computer/laptop.

    It works. More expensive as an OEM product than one from a generic manufacture. This is necessary if you have legacy USB devices as most new Mac Books are now only coming with USB-C ports. As with all things Apple, you pay a premium.

    Purchased cable to connect my phone to the newly purchased MacBook Pro. It is a little annoying that we have to connect these cables however the MacBook Pro is so slick!
