Apple... that tells you all you need to know...

Apple should include this type of adapter in the disc drives that sell so you could use the drive right away with whatever Apple product you have. Of course they don't. Disc drives will connect up right away to std USB port if that's what you need, but for the newer laptops and such, you would need this extra piece... Oh Apple, we love you and hate you at the same time...
