Unlocked Watch won't work with AT&T
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We currently have 2 iPhones. I had the original Apple Watch and this is much nicer. Works faster, apps that wouldn't run on my old watch work on this one. Bought an unlocked Apple Watch Series 3 LTE based on the fact that it is supposed to work with all of the carriers. Have spent three days trying to get it added to my AT&T Plan - and I am now returning the watch. I don't know if the watch just won't work or if all of the many AT&T reps I spoke with don't know what they are doing. On the last call AT&T said that they had to mail me a new SIM for the watch and that I had to take it to an AT&T store, where they would disassemble my watch and install the new SIM. The Apple Watch has a built in SIM that is not removable and is supposed to be programmable. At this point the Apple Watch Series 3 has been out for nine months - so by now AT&T should now had to add one to an existing plan. Not sure if the problem is with Apple or with AT&T - doesn't really matter. Bought a product that was supposed to work, it doesn't work.
