First gen Apple Watch is great except for the glass, it is fragile and scratches easily.

I really liked many features of Apple Watch SE like following Hand washing High sound detection that could damage hearing Airplane mode Unfortunately, when ever I wear any smart watches/health trackers I get aching arm and wrist pain on the hand I am wearing watch. This is the case with Fitbit and Apple watches. I have earlier reached out to both apple and fitbit and they asked me to see if the band is not too tight. I sent apple, pictures showing band was not too tight and was pretty loose. Both apple (earlier when I was using Apple Watch 6) and Fitbit (versa) asked me to return the watches. The aching pane does not start immediately but starts after about a week. I have noticed that if I keep the heart rate sensor/other sensors that emit light into the skin cause more severe arm pain than when I turn off the heart rate monitor. I really like the convenience and the health stats like steps, exercise minutes, calories burned of these smart watches but can’t wear them. I have used Apple Watch SE (non cellular version) for about 2 weeks with heart rate and that too all the time in airplane mode (with both wifi and bluetooth) turned off while wearing it. The aching pain started after 2 weeks and I was wearing the watch pretty loose. I read few forums/blogs and many people seems to have similar pain. I am thinking the electromagnetic and other radiations from the watch are affecting my body and causing pain. I hope apple and Fitbit look into these complaints from people. In the Apple Watch SE, if you turn off GPS on watch it also turns off GPS on phone which is a problem so, had to keep GPS on and I didn’t find a way to disable NFC payment feature in watch to reduce radiations. I like fitbit 250 steps reminder much better than Apple Watch stand/move reminder. The Apple Watch stand gets completed even if you move 2 steps to adjust the chair you are sitting on. Overall, the Apple Watch SE is good but I think I am too sensitive for radiations that other people don’t get affected. So, I would give 3 star as the radiation issue needs to be investigated.

So, I’m new to Apple products. After picking up the iPhone, this was my next purchase. And I’m very pleased that I did so. I honestly think the Apple Watch compliments owning an iPhone very well. Although, not a necessity, the Apple Watch is super useful in every day activities. Definitely happy with the purchase. 

Does everything I need it to do. Only thing I’d change is battery life.
