I finally had to buy a new iPhone, get a new # for the iPhone and then pair the watch with that iPhone. Apple adverts and the Apple Geniuses at the Apple Store swore this watch can be configured as a "stand alone device". But Verizon cannot do that and you NEED an iPhone to pair this watch with.

Just what we needed

It allows for us to text or call her but limits access to social media and can be set up to avoid school time distractions through family sharing.
