Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the Apple Watch Series 3's ease of use, fitness tracking capabilities, and its overall value for the price. Many appreciate the long battery life, GPS functionality, and the watch's size and design. While some users mentioned issues with the band and the lack of cellular connectivity in certain models, the positive feedback on features significantly outweighs the negative comments.

The magic watch that eats time

This watch does one thing with your time: wastes it. The image of Apple products being "plug-and-play" or simple to use out of the box does not apply here. Be prepared to spend hours or even a day or more simply setting this up, thanks to snail-like speed issues and bugs around every corner. Tips: 1. Switch off all nonessential features asap, especially related to syncing. Otherwise you'll periodically spend about 30+ minutes waiting for the watch to finish its business including each time the watch is switched on. 2. I probably spent over an hour trying to sync a small playlist from my iPhone to my watch due to an extremely buggy syncing process that wouldn't recognize when the watch was charging. Multiple restarts of both devices, multiple app restarts, random songs not downloaded. 3. GPS does not work out of the box, especially with third-party apps such as Nike Run Club, so don't count on these to track your movement. Even the built-in Maps app did not locate me until I connected to WiFi although GPS location shouldn't require an internet connection. 4. Extremely slow and confusing to use in general. Boot-up takes minutes. Charging takes half a day. Watch sometimes doesn't light up on tapping when you want it to. The watch to watch out for…

    Broke in 19 days

This watch was a birthday gift for my girlfriend. Within 19 days the screen perfectly broke in a square. Under light use with no impacts it just broke in her sleep. Was past the 14 day return period so we took it to Apple. They then claimed it was not defective and would cost 230$ to repair. AVOID THE RISK, if you purchase this make sure you get AppleCare ASAP. This 3 week watch was a terrible waste of our money and very disappointed in the service from Apple and best buy as this broke in a manufactures defect (Genius Bar used a retina scope to determine this under magnification) and was a complete loss.

I just bought my daughter her very first Apple Watch for Christmas which she was so happy about. I am so very disappointed with my purchase. She has had it not even a full 24 hours and it was on her wrist, she was walking and her arm rubbed up against the wall and the whole screen just lifted up with crack around side and bottom. For the amount of money for these this should not happen with such a little mishap especially for something that is worn on the wrist. The watch wasn’t dropped or anything serious or else I could understand.

    Huge disappoint

I am so disappointed. I purchased an Apple Watch 3 with cellular. I had owned an Apple Watch 1 and loved it and so I was excited about upgrading my product. After having the watch for about three months I started having problems. The Apple watch white logo go would appear. So I would reset the watch. I had to do this twice. Then one morning I started noticing cracks along the side. I took it to the Apple store and explained my situation. He told me that he could send it for repair but that I should be prepared for them to claim that I damaged it. I did nothing to it. I was always careful. I never even got it wet, even though Apple claims you can. I only owned a his for three months. I just received back my product with a letter claiming it can’t be repaired. So Apple no longer stands behind their products? And I’m out $350 after three months with nothing to show for it...that’s bogus!

Battery/charger stopped working after 2 weeks

Watch worked great for 2 weeks with easy pairing/installation with my iPhone. Battery lasted 2-3 days between charges until the charging mechanism began failing. The watch would not charge and the only screen I could see is the "green snake of death." I was unable to reboot the watch in any fashion once this happened. I attempted to charge the watch using a different charger with no luck. I will now be working with Apple Customer Service since Best Buy will not accept returns after 15 days of receipt. This may just be a bad "apple," but I advise others to stay away from this product.

2 Screen Issues in Less Than a Year and a Half

My husband bought me a Apple Watch Series 3 38mm for Valentine's Day 2021. I had a Fitbit before that went after 3 years and was hesitant at first about the watch being more than I needed. After using the watch for a couple weeks it came in handy being able to answer the phone while I was in the middle of something and easily see texts when I wasn't near my phone. The watch was working out great until September 2021 when my watch screen went all pixilated and I could no longer see anything on the screen to use it. Apple sent it out for repair under warranty and in a couple weeks I received a replacement watch, which didn't appear to be my original watch. Mine had a glass screen protector on it and the replacement did not, which my husband was not happy about. Everything was great again until June 2022 my watch had the same issue and when I called into Apple regarding the issue they won't cover it because it has been over a year since we purchased the original watch and we didn't pay for the AppleCare plan. They said to fix the watch was going to be $177, which is pretty much the cost of a new watch. I'm very disappointed, I've always had iPhones personally and for work and they have always lasted a long time and never had issues, but they clearly have issues with the series 3 watch which they aren't covering, so I will no longer be a customer for their watches.

    Screen Cracks Easily

I bought this for my wife for Mothers Day because she is always putting her phone somewhere and not aware when it rings or she gets a text. Functionally, this served that purpose. It didn't do a whole lot more that had practical value to her. The problem came about two months later when the right side of the screen stopped having touch sensitivity. Her password needed that side so she couldn't use it at all. We took it to the Apple Store and they said the screen had an invisible crack, we were just after the 60-day window to buy AppleCare, and it would cost more than half the price of the watch to replace the screen. Unbelievable! My wife is pregnant and not doing any kind of physical activity that might have put the watch at greater risk of cracking, nor did she bang it against something. This occurred because day-to-day use. I understand why Apple would not warranty against a phone screen cracking - people have to do something like drop it to crack. A watch is worn on the wrist so there isn't much risk of dropping it. But, it is constantly at risk of coming into contact with stuff near one's hand. The screen should be manufactured to withstand that kind of exposure. Apple's decision to not make good on a high priced product like this so soon after purchase is absolutely ridiculous.

    Not pleased with this device

I got this for my wife two tears ago. She is not hard on this thing, won't even wear it in the shower. Apparently, this early series of watch has a known flaw, in that the faceplate comes off, sometimes as a consequence of battery swelling. This is a design flaw that should be covered even after Apple Care expires. I called Apple to see what the options were. I can either pitch this device that I paid $350 for, or I can pay $157 to repair it. That would put me into $500-plus for this now outdated watch. Very disappointed in Apple for their policy on this watch. I had hoped better, seeing that they replaced a faulty logic board in my MacBook years after any warranty expired at no cost to me.

I hate that this is the only real option if you have an apple phone. The screen is small and I am not a fan of the square face. Other than that it looks like a child’s toy and I don’t get the feel of quality when I wear it. I ended up getting the Samsung Gear s3 and even though half the features won’t work with apple I like it better than the Apple Watch. Bettery life seams like it could be better too. The Gear s3 gas better battery life.

Battery life is trash on this watch. Beat buy employee recommended it to my wife for price and functionality and it literally dumps a whole battery in 4-5 hours with minimal use. Spend the extra money and buy the SE or 7

I had my boyfriend pick my Apple Watch. They said he couldn’t pick it up for me when I had called and the asked if he could and they said yes. But in the end they gave it to him and didn’t even ask for an ID. Sounds like anyone can pick up things for people if they talk enough? also they didn’t scan the serial number so then I had gotten a call three days after saying they need the serial number on the box. It’s a good thing I kept the box because I had called the next day to give you that code. When I technically didn’t have to because that was your companies mistake! Communication between the employees needs to be better because there was a lot of confusion with it. The product life is only a day and it will die. Also there is a few technical problems I’ve noticed. It will randomly zoom in and won’t go back until I leave it alone for at least a minute then it goes back to normal. Not the best purchase from you guys for sure.

The watch seemed great. Had a good explanation of how it would work etc. it was only when I tried to set it up at home that I discovered it does not work with the iPhone 6. Very disappointed! Not worth investing in a new phone, but I wish I had been told about it. Buyer beware!

    Beware Apple Open Box Items

I purchased this in November as a Christmas item for my daughter. I didn’t want to pay full price for an item that could possibly be broken/lost/not used within a couple months, so I decided to buy an open box item from Best Buy. At the time it seemed like a smart move, save money and then we could decide to upgrade to a newer model down the road, if needed. I was highly disappointed to wake up on Christmas morning to learn that the watch could not be set up on my daughter’s phone due to an Activation Lock being on the watch. It appears that Best Buy did not do their due diligence to ensure the item could be sold and re-used. I called Best Buy to try to find a resolution, but was told to contact Apple. Apple advised they could not help, so I had to contact Best Buy again. I am planning on taking the item back to the store on the 26th to see what can be done. If all else fails, it will be returned.

I bought a series 3 watch and the watch face broke for no reason in less than a month. I've been reading reviews online and it seems like it's a very common problem with the batteries swelling and causing the glass in the screen to crack or pop out. Regardless, Apple still charges about $300 to fix it. There's even a class action lawsuit about it. I wish I could return it. There's no way I would have bought it if I knew it was that fragile.
