Hello, i bought an apple watch 3 open box which was listed as excellent condition with no scratches and faults etc. I got the watch and was traveling back to my country the next day (I dont live in U.S, frequently visit as a tourist), Anyway turns out that the watch has a scratch on its face, which isn't noticeable but its still there. There is also some sort of touch screen problem with the watch since it delays and becomes static sometimes. Overall it was a bad experience. Too bad, I am not in US anymore so cant even return the watch and claim my money back. I would recommend to buy pin packed products from best buy or if someone really has to get an open box type of product then they should buy directly from manufacturer.

Apple won't support Apple 3 watch with an Iphone 5

The Apple 3 watch was a Christmas present for my wife...who was quite surprised when she opened up the package. It all went downhill from there. She has an Apple 5s and the new version of the Apple 3 will not sync as it requires the "latest" software update...which she cannot get as Apple has discountinued upgrades for that phone. Tried to buy a new Apple 11 via Best Buy and the nearest unit was over 250 miles away...and not available on line. So...back to the store with the watch. Had heard good things about the 3 but will never now... Sad... Return process was quite good though...

Do not buy from Best Buy! I bought a Apple Watch & after just 1 time of wearing the watch, it stopped working. I took it in because it was only 13 days since I bought the watch. They wanted $175 to repair the watch when I paid $190 for it. I am totally convinced that they sell refurbished apple products because this would not have happened to a brand new watch. They were no help at all. If you are looking to buy apple products, go directly to apple. Do not waste your time & money at Best Buy! I will never purchase anything from Beat Buy.

Purchased an out of box watch, it arrived with the previous owners Apple info still on it. Best Buy could not help. Went to Apple and submitted proof of purchase twice and it’ll was denied ownership twice. Huge waste of time. Shame on Best Buy for not doing their due diligence first to remove the previous owners information and leaving it up to new owner to try and figure out. The watch was also not charging. Sent back and purchased a brand new one.

This one really sucked. Cannot download updates as it always says there isn’t enough room on the watch to download update. Even when the watch is empty of all content . How can you try to make an update that’s larger than the watches capacity?? Everyone just has a watch that they can’t use at that point and it’s 299.99 so it’s an expensive wristband. Go with the latest generation and make sure it has plenty of memory.

The sales rep was so set on making the sale he hyped this thing up and was even trying to upsell the 4th gen to me. Told me it blows away Fitbit in every way possible. After 3 days I returned it and repurchased a Fitbit. The battery life was upsetting and the calories were inaccurate. It only monitors heartbeat every 10 minutes or during a workout. I was looking for something that would help me keep track of calories and maybe notify me of messages, not notify me of messages and maybe keep track of calories. Again, misleading sales rep. So if you want a phone for your wrist that you have to charge every 9 hours .. go ahead.

    Great smart watch

The world of technology is constantly changing. Hardware is getting thinner while screens are getting larger. Nowadays people are walking around with computers in their pockets, so it was only a matter of time before wearable technology took off. In 2015 Apple released their first version of a smart watch, the Apple Watch Series 0. Apple has three versions of the watch with the fourth on the way. I own the Apple Watch Series 3, which I think, is a fantastic product that shows the evolution of the watch series. Though there are many series of the Apple Watch, one thing that remains constant is the physical look of the product. I have the 42mm case, and I think it is a great size. The watch is small enough to not be an obstruction on your wrist, but it is large enough to use with ease. I feel as if the 38mm case is too small to use without accidentally clicking something you did not want. Another great physical feature is the durability. I have bumped the screen of my watch into many desks, doors, and walls, and it does not get scratched. The only time it got damaged was when it fell from about hip height onto its side. The aluminum casing was chipped, but the damage overall was minimal. Overall, the 42mm aluminum watch is a great size coupled with a durable frame. A big upgrade from my Series 0 watch is the GPS and LTE connectivity feature. GPS was introduced in Series 2 and has been improved since. Previously, I had to take my iPhone with them while going on runs, which was inconvenient, but now with the built in GPS I can now leave my phone behind and not have to worry about it. This appeals to me because I often go to workout and not having to carry around my phone is great. Another use of GPS is navigation without the depending on your phone. With this added feature you can now get turn-by-turn directions on your wrist. The LTE feature was added on the series 3, and it makes the watch even more independent than GPS alone. LTE allows the watch to receive calls, texts, and any other notifications once the watch is out of Bluetooth range. Although my watch is GPS only, I can see how having the LTE feature is beneficial to those who do not carry their phones with them at all times. These two crucial features help the product become more independent. A much-needed upgrade from the Series 0 is the improvement of battery life. With moderate use the Series 0 needed to be charged everyday, but with the same usage the Series 3 can last two to three days without needing to be charged. The Series 3 also charges faster than the Series 0. These improvements are rooted in an upgrade of the battery size itself; the battery in the new models of the watch is around fifteen percent bigger than the one preceding it. The size of the watch also plays a miniscule role in battery life. The larger casing has a larger battery, which leads to a better battery life. This pattern of larger products housing larger batteries can be seen in the iPhones with the difference in battery between regular and plus sized products. Faster charging and longer lasting battery allows for less time plugged in making the watch much better than what it was. The driving point for me to upgrade was the waterproofness of the watch. The Series 0 was water resistant meaning it could function properly in the rain, if your wrist got wet, or even with lots of sweat, but you could not swim with it on. Apple added this waterproof feature on the Series 2. However, the word waterproof comes with a caveat, it is waterproof only up to 50 meters under water. When making my purchase I did not consider this as a downside because I knew I would not be going to that depth. The waterproofing is integrated with the workout tracking on the watch’s software, and it can track any number of swim related workouts. I often swim for exercise, so I found this to be a helpful feature. One thing I found unique about this was its ability to remove water from ports on the watch. When you press the water droplet icon in the control center and turn the digital crown, the watch emits a high frequency sound, which vibrates all internal speakers pushing the water out from the watch. I found this to be a unique way for the Apple Watch to have all the same openings, but still be able to be waterproof. Being waterproof is a feature that can appeal to everyone, not just swimmers, as water is everywhere, and water related accidents could happen. For me, going from the Series 0 to the Series 3 was a massive upgrade highlighted by built in GPS, improved battery life, and being waterproof. These key additions make the watch easier to use in day-to-day life. I highly recommend the Apple Watch Series 3 to anyone who is interested in purchasing a smart watch. Apple puts their best effort into their smart watch, and it is only going to improve moving forward.
