With GPS only the battery life is amazing 48+ hours. It's faster and has a brighter screen than my series 1 as well. I would say unless you want to make calls while working out don't pay for the cellular version. The GPS only is perfect.

This product is great. Just wish I would have gotten the cellular version.

My last Apple Watch s1 died from sweat seeping into a crack on the face of the watch. I was seriously bummed out. So I was on the hunt for a new watch.because everywhere was sold out of the Applewatch S3 cellular+GPS , I looked at everything from the Fitbit Charge 2 to the galaxy gear frontier but none of them compared to the functionality of the new Apple Watch I couldn’t settle. I started to weight the pros and cons of the non cellular Apple Watch to the cellular enabled one. 1) I have a life proof case so my phone will always be with my regardless. 2 is an extra 10$ plus any hidden fees really worth it? No. Chances are the extra charge will come to 16-17$ just to leave your phone with you. 3 what are the differences between the two other than cellular capabilities? None. So I went to my local Best Buy and they had the one I wanted in stock. The new features are great. The waterproofing is a little gimmicky but it works. Kind of cool seeing the water expel from the device after a swim. The new chipset is leaps and bounds ahead of the series one Watch. The barameter-altimeter clocks everything in very accurately All in all this a great upgrade, a robust set of new features and well worth it.

This version of the watch should have been the first one. Battery life is livable since I charge it every night anyway, but now I can workout, run and survive the rest of the day without needing to put it on a charger. This is a vast improvement over the series 1 I had. Not sure it's worth the extra money to buy the cellular version, in addition to the additional cost for nothing the cellular provider charges, but that is a personal choice. I kind of like being disconnected from interruptions when running, working out or being away from my phone so no biggie for this person. The next big issue is to extend battery life where you don't have to charge it everyday, that hopefully will come in the next hardware update. I hope..

This is a great watch. For everyday purposes I don’t think you need to get the cellular enabled. I mean you paid near a grand for your phone jus to leave it at home? But it’s a good buy if you have gen 6s phones and need a little tech boost. You’re just wasting money if you have 10X phone and the latest iwatch. I found myself not wearing any of my other regular watches because of this watch. It’s very useful and you feel like Dick Tracy or a power ranger or something. It’s a good watch. Worth the buy.

First I got the cellular version, but ran into some glitches. I ditched the it and got the gps. When are you rarely without your phone? Gps is totally worth it. Don’t spend the extra money on the cellular.

The series 3 seems to be faster and I’m glad I got it. I didn’t need to cellular option since I 99% of the time have my phone with me. Ready to see what this thing can do!

If you buy an Apple Watch, I recommend you buy the one with cellular too. That is my only regret.

I bought this Apple Watch for my husband for Father's Day after hearing about the heart monitor benefits provided by this watch. My husband wears it nearly every day and enjoys being able to receive notifications from his iPhone right on his watch since he often doesn't hear his phone. The watch has performed just as expected and he hasn't had any trouble with it. The only thing I might do differently if I were purchasing an Apple Watch today is pay extra for the cellular model, even if I don't activate it, because the watch can be used to make 911 calls even if it isn't on a network.

This device is beautiful, but my wife exchanged it for the cellular edition. Still needing the phone nearby seemed like it wasn’t as much of an improvement.

It’s a good watch and easy to use but don’t see much change from series 2 and 1. Unless u buy the one with cellular which I should have bought instead

Never saw the reason to have an iWatch, but after review of the product and the BB sale during Mother's Day sales this year at $50 less than the asking price, I went for it and glad I did. This is an amazing product that compliments not only your iPhone, but health, fitness, etc. You easily can monitor your fitness activity, heart rate, answer telephone calls (like a "Dick Tracy" watch setup), respond to texts, etc. without having your iPhone right near you. And you only need to purchase the GPS version, you don't need the cellular one. This is just one awesome purchase I'm glad I now have.

Can’t recommend Apple watches enough. It’s great for tracking exercise, great if you can’t use your phone at work, and great at finding your phone when you put it down somewhere. The only real reason to pay the extra to get the phoneless featute is if you want to leave your phone at home and just have your watch (like for running) or if you frequently leave your phone at home. Otherwise, you won’t use it enough to pay the monthly service fee.

I purchased this product for my partner this Holiday season and he loves it. He synchronized it with his workout apps and weight scale and it keeps him on track on his workouts, calorie counts etc. This is a perfect product to have. I opted for no cellular feature since it does add an extra charge on your bill and it adds an additional number if you have the watch without the phone, but that's a matter of choice and need.

Best purchase I made! I toyed for months between cellular or not, and so glad I didn’t do cellular. I love it for my runs, don’t need to carry my phone and it still works the Map my run app, never have to worry about it ringing or getting a text, I can just do my miles! Plus I can still call 911 if I had too!

I bought the Apple watch series 3 without cellular. Honestly, the cellular service is NOT necessary to purchase as long as your iPhone is nearby. The Apple watch picks up the wifi from your iPhone if you want to answer a call from your watch. I also purchased the 42mm option for $30 more and I'm glad I did. The face of the watch is larger and easy to view.

More useful than I expected. I bought this mostly because I wanted a fitness tracker, but I find that there are so many useful features that allow me to keep my phone in my pocket more. My only regret is that I didn’t buy the one with built-in cellular. Knowing how much I use it, that would’ve been very helpful. Next time for sure!

I bought this watch. Love it even though its not the newest series.it serves its purpose. I did not need a watch with cellular functions. Use it to track my steps. Answer text and see who is calling.my phone is usually near by.

I love the exercise rings that count how active you are. You can download games on here, it is water resistant(up to 164 feet under water). Cellular is not necessary with this product, and the bigger screen makes a big difference. Over all, a great purchase.

This was a good product. I did return it though not because of negative issues but because i wanted the apple watch cellular so i didnt have to have my phone with me at all times. overall this gps one is good.
