Having previously had a Gear watch I expected more of this new Apple Watch. It promised streaming music without being synced to your phone, I have yet to see it. All the other apps are meh. Wondering if they are holding out on some functionality for when the X launches. Phone calls work great but you feel like a tool talking to your watch. LOL. Perhaps I just don’t know the “good” apps to use?

After FitBit finally bit the dust, figured this would be a great replacement. Wasn’t aware that it would require a SEPARATE line access fee from the cell carrier to actually USE the cell capability. Also most apps (MapMyRun, Pandora, etc) cannot function separately from the paired iPhone. Wasn’t that the whole point of the cell addition?? Lastly, paired beautiful Bose headphones with it to find it sounded like an AM radio from a tin can...ZERO EQ capability compared to listening to music from an iPhone. For a “power user”, beware of these shortcomings.

The concept is great, but let's be honest, the keynote made this sound way more beneficial than it really is. "With no need for another number" is far different than having to buy an access line for $10 a month and merging two numbers into one. The concept should be tethered to the same number under your contract, but that is just me. Plus, who really ever moves without their phone? Save yourself the money and buy the 3 without cellular.

Overall, a good watch for what it is. I like being able to wear it anywhere - swimming included. You have to expect to charge it at least every 36 hours, and if you use calling and apps a lot, you will have to charge it every day. I feel like all we do is charge phones, watches and tablets. My main gripe is how fragile the face design is. There should be some sort of cladding around the edge of the screen instead of the curved glass face. I accidentally bumped the edge of the watch against a granite countertop and the face shattered. My wife accidentally dropped her Apple Watch and the face shattered on that one too. Make sure you get Apple Care for it... you'll likely need it.

The watch is a nice piece of arm candy. It saves me time by not having to look at my phone for every time it goes off. Speaker needs to be louder

Very cool at first but I couldn’t justify keeping it past the return date. The watch is very fragile and I was always too worried about cracking the bridle screen. Keep in mind this in only an opinion. Good luck.

The watch itself has great features. However, it is not durable at all. I am glad I bought Apple Care because I had to use it within the first 2 weeks of wearing the watch. I bumped my wrist and the screen cracked. I definitely recommend the Apple Care along with the screen protector and bumper case if you are going to buy the watch.

This watch just isn’t quite up to snuff. Lots of apps hang rather than load. Lots of weird health tracking lag issues where the watch shows 0 steps then updates 8000 all at once. Getting messages on the phone, seeing your activity(when it works), preview email, and ability to access your phone without pulling it out are great but these actions seldom work correctly. Messages will take several taps to remove the notification and a sluggish delete sequence where the watch shuts off while waiting and then doesn’t delete. Playing music and podcasts through the watch just don’t work easily and may require third party apps to use. During my use no music apps worked. The $15 they charge for lte is insane and at max you will never approach a gig. This watch felt like a beta but there is a great deal to look forward to in future installments. Just not this.

    Weak Screen - Otherwise Okay

Returned twice for broken screens. Third time is a charm. Having the separate cellular is key. Some apps freeze, particular pain has been the activity app freezing and having to constantly wipe the data and reboot the watch. Even with these issues, i don't leave home without it.

I was really excited to get the Apple Watch but I feel it is overpriced for what it offers. A smaller version of your phone that doesn't do nearly as much. Fitness gurus will love the Activity app capabilities and it's nice to walk away from your phone and be able to see incoming emails and texts. There are very few apps that work with the watch as most just ask you to go to your iPhone. The cellular function does not work out of the box, need to set it up with your wireless provider for another additional cost. Maybe I am just not use to it yet or have fully learned its capabilities but for the price Apple charges I don't feel it's worth it.

Took a long time to get the watch setup. Then it didn’t work and had to repair several times to get working. Watch itself is very good. Easy to use and works great.

Love the watch great for people on the go. Only complaint is the cellular strength is not as good as Phone. If in a poor signal area cellular on watch will not work.

The thing I don’t like is not a constant on of the time. Sometimes I can’t get the watch to show the time, but eventually it works. This is the first watch I have to charge every night that I had to get used to. Too bad the watch can’t be used for days before charging. Lot of apps can be added to the screen which is good. Never used the cellular since I always have my phone.

Just like everyone else it a must have to flex but other then that it’s really a show piece you can receive voice calls and text messages email alerts etc while you have your phone near by if you don’t pay for the cellular service if you do you don’t need to have your phone at all to use them services it tracks your steps calories heartrate etc etc but overall the watch is boring to me

This watch is an asset for anyone who exercises outdoors and doesn't want to carry their phone with them. I like the fact that in case of emergency, I can call someone without having my phone on me. The only drawback is that I can't stream music unless I have a subscription to Apple Music...can't use 3rd party Apps.

I kinda wish I didn’t waste my time and money on the watch. Features are nice and the water feature is cool but I don’t like how often Siri stops working and how often my text messages are not sending. It’s a headache to not have my names on my number when I’m texting or calling. I’m really disappointed. Don’t even want the watch anymore...

I can’t use my watch without my phone because of not having a single. They don’t tell you all this stuff in the store. Hate that I pay the monthly charge and it not work. The only reason I wouldn’t recommend it is because of the signal failure.
