Bottom Line: The Apple Watch Series 4 showcases a series of refinements to the features that made the Apple Watch the leader of the smartwatch category. Pros: sleeker design, larger display, faster and more responsive, improved heart and motion sensors, compatible with existing bands Cons: still an iPhone accessory, price Review: Fans of the Apple Watch won’t he disappointed with the Series 4. Although the changes to the case design seem minor, they have a big impact on the experience. Series 4, compared the previous design, looks and feels less like a “smartwatch” and more just like a “watch.” The bigger screen is fantastic, especially compared to my S0. I love the new watch faces, and the extra screen size helps when typing directly on the screen. For instance, when entering my passcode, I’m less likely to hit the wrong numbers, since the button sizes are closer to those of my fingertips. There are several under-the hood improvements as well. For me, the upgraded processor is huge, since it (re)enables a lot of features that no longer ran well on the S0, including Siri and Music. The heart sensor is also much better at keeping track of your heart rate, which is helpful during activities like bike riding. Although the Series 4 is a nice improvement over previous generations, the Apple Watch is still very much an iPhone accessory. It’s appeal will primarily be those who are upgrading from earlier models and, perhaps, someone who is heavily considering making the jump into wearables that is already invested in Apple’s ecosystem.

I love this thing! Don't know why I didn't buy an Apple Watch earlier but I'm finally there and I couldn't be happier. I like the activity features and achieving goals. It's not like being 'guilted' into performing my daily exercise, it's more like being motivated. And I love that I don't have to run to another room for my iPhone or dig it out of my pocket when I get a call, text or notification of some kind. It is also useful for monitoring my sleep pattern with a sleep app. But one of the coolest things is the ability to easily change bands. I've purchased a number of colorful watch bands to 'accessorize' and it takes just seconds to swap bands unlike with those old style springy post things that would go flying off across the room half the time whenever you had the misfortune of having to replace your Twist-o-flex.

With the larger screen viewing size and the new faces, it’s the best!!! I had a series 2, and this is a worthy upgrade! I don’t “keep up” with the latest, but this upgrade was worth it!!

Due to my history of heart problems, I bought the new Series 4 watch in order to help with my heart monitoring... pulse rate and ECG. I also am using the Activity Rings as a motivator to stay in better shape. Like most Apple products, it is well made and easy to use. I am an "Apple Guy" for life!!

I am absolutely in love with this watch! I wanted to purchase this for such a long time! It’s perfect from a utility point of view. All the notifications come up naturally on the watch! I can’t stress the usage of this watch in daily use!

Due to my physical condition I needed a device that can get my heart rate and beat ECG Fortunately with Apple Watch 4 series I can do that and send to my cardiologist via email

I've owned an Apple Watch 2 since they came out. I did not want the first one since it lacked features I wanted. I skipped over the Watch 3, but hesitated on the 4 because of the price. Now Apple is getting ready to reveal the 5 and prices dropped on the 4, so I jumped. Well, I should have bought this two years ago--performance and features are PHENOMENAL. Anyway, I did look at what Apple is adding to the 5 and it really didn't excite me. I am beyond pleased with the 4.

How are you have been an Apple fan for decadesBut have resisted the Apple Watch thinking it is unnecessary gimmick. Wrong! Really love it and use all of the complications available simultaneously. It takes a Couple of weeks to get up to speed where is this and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I use my watch literally everyday! I love it and I’m always finding myself having to use it for something when I don’t have my phone out or on me like at school or work. Great purchase and I don’t regret it!

Pro: Faster processor, 16 GB memory, slimmer bezels, thinner package, more desirable rounded corners, new watch faces, more complications, walkie talkie feature, louder speakers, medical safety features such as heart rate high and low limits, fall detection, and EKG function (update to come). I'm coming from a Series 2 and loved it, but everything about Series 4 is worth the upgrade for me. I would definitely recommend it if you're on the fence about upgrading from a Series 1 or 2. Low: Although battery life of 18 hours is the same as the Series 3, I wish it was longer and that it had always-on time display option.

I had the series 1 and series 3 (38) mm watch and loved them both. When I saw the new Watch 4 (44) mm I new Apple had nailed it! The screen being edge to edge and being even larger and more usable is absolutely gorgeous. The new watch faces just pop with color and catch friends eyes. It’s touch screen is even more reactive than last year. The side button now flush with the casing and the digital crown is more responsive. I could go on and on. I am eagerly awaiting the update to activate the ecg function. Apple Watch 4 is the best product Apple has produced so far in several years.

The watch battery last about every two days, the operating system seems to work smooth and elegant when in use. Walkie talkie works well and fun to use. Apps are easy to load and quick ideal way to check quick messages when they appear.

The bigger screen is amazing!! I love my new watch I wear it all day everyday! Battery life is way better and accuracy on activity has improved.

I like the fact that I don’t have to grab my phone every time it goes of I can just raise my arm and see it and reply or even answer the phone. I can go swimming and not have to worry about taking it off.

I’ve owned an Apple Watch since they first came out. I’ve been very happy with the original version and only updated because the old one could no longer get software updates. I must say, Series 4 far exceeded my expectations. Love the larger display and new face options! But as someone who is now 60+, I really liked the new fall detection and the coming ECG technology. The Apple Watch is great for getting notifications, for spurring me to be more active, and, of course, to keep track of time!

I absolutely love my apple watch. I received it as a wedding gift from my husband. The best gift ever. I wear it every day the battery lasts at least 2 1/2 days. I chose to get the watch without cellular service. I always have my phone with me anyways. Only thing Ive not liked about it is not having a calculator. 44mm rose gold..

I just upgraded from a series 2 and i must say i am glad i did! The upgrade is a must! New faces, new watch sizes, new features! If you have been considering upgrading go ahead it’s worth it!

Finally purchased my first Apple Watch. Works great. I use it in so many ways, especially tracking my walks around the neighborhood. I have it on everyday.

I bought this for my wife and she loves it. I have the same one and use it everyday. The only negative thing isn’t the watch, it’s that you don’t get any Best Buy Points with Apple products. I spent a good amount of money and thought to myself, “at least I’ll get some points for future purchases” but I was wrong. Yes I would recommend this watch if you are an iPhone/Apple user but I don’t think you need to it from Best Buy since there is no benefit when purchasing Apple products. Just saying

I update from the original 42mm Apple Watch. This watch is 44mm but doesn’t appear any larger. But the screen is so much bigger and better. I highly recommend this watch.
