    Worth the upgrade!

As an owner of an earlier version of the Apple Watch, I had high expectations for the Series 4. Overall, it is definitely worth the upgrade from the original through Series 2. I don't need the cellular features, so only bought the GPS version. Face is easier to read in bright light. Audio quality for taking calls on the watch is surprisingly good. Battery life has been excellent, even though I use it for workouts an hour a day. Like the ability to unlock my Mac just by having my watch on. Most of the new features have value and the new faces offer more information at a glance. I give it an A.

I have been an Apple fan since 1991 and this watch is just an absolute dream. I did not purchase the previous models since I did not see the need to own one but this one is one that I had to have. The obvious change is the design, Apple says the watch has as been redesigned and reengineered from front to back. The new screen is 30 per cent larger thanks to the sizes getting a bump from 38mm and 42mm to 40mm and 44mm models. That new screen itself is a low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO), which basically means you get a high-quality OLED display that chomps through less power. I have been getting approx 17+ hours a day out of the battery and this is excellent. Text is bigger, and much easier to read. The buttons are larger, so selection errors are less common. My only complaint is that when you use the stepping counter it does seem to kick in only after 15-20 steps. However, everything else about this watch is very nice and so easy to use. I like the touch screen and the maps fill the watch space when using Apple Maps. The magnetic charging is great and the supplied charger and the bigger Apple Charger work nicely. I really like this new design and new watch. Great job Apple!

It took a while to be convinced this watch was worth the money. I was especially worried about battery life. But this Series 4 measured up. It has useful features and lasts longer than a day. There are watches with similar features, but the Apple Watch screen is larger so notifications, emails, etc. are easier to read. I also like the activity tracker. The rings give a visual of your progress, not just a number of steps. Taking calls on the watch is convenient. It’s nice to have most of the functionality of your phone without having to keep moving it around the house/office or taking it out and putting it back.

It’s convenient and works in harmony with the iPhone. Battery lasts for a long time at least almost two days. The range works well unless there are a lot of walls. I like how I can change my music from my phone as well. It keeps a nice summary of heart rate and sleep. The sleep app had to be downloaded and it works ok. The speaker to talk to people works great and I have had no problems with them hearing me. Talking through text is also convenient. The only downside is the price, but you definitely get what you pay for. It is also easily damaged so get a protector.

Positives- easy to read screen, great apps (love the activity one especially). Can do turn notifications when using Apple Maps, easy to switch out watch bands. Handles phone calls better than my iPhone speaker. Can load music on it to leave the phone at home when riding. Negatives- battery life only two days, not bombproof so I bought a case and screen protector. Glad I finally decided to get one after researching several different smartwatches with GPS. Like the ECG and heartrate monitor features. Installed a sleep monitor app and like reviewing the data it collects.

I am a conventional watch user and wanted to give it a try and treat myself and purchased the series 4. I’m very pleased using it as a watch but the features I have to admit are pretty cool and convent. Being able to just glance at the watch to se who texted me or called without the need of having my phone on me specially at work, fitness & sleep tracking, weather and customize screen with all those little apps and reminders is awesome! Also very easy to use and comfortable too. Very happy with my purchased. Still learning new things every day!

I am impressed by Apple Watch. It just gives you convenience of reading your messages, responding to them, seeing alerts but most importantly keep you active via Activity tracker. The reminder feature keeps tab on your goals. Imagine all of this without taking out your phone ever, isn't that cool? The battery lasts me more than 1.5 days with single charge. You can switch watch face and bands to suite your occasion. All in all a very useful watch and worth investment. I bought at Best Buy so I could get the the price match guarantee, buy best from Best Buy.

Overall I really enjoy this watch. I had to put a rhinoshield case on it and a screen protector because the aluminum chips easily and the screen scratches easily if you don't get the stainless steel version with the sapphire glass, so keep that in mind. I like how easily it is to switch watch bands and the amount that are available. Don't spend $50 on apple's watchbands, there are many good ones that mimic apple's on amazon for $10. The iphone's notification system has always been terrible to me compared to android, but having the watch and being able to more easily manage the notifications as they come in makes dealing with them on the phone a lot better. I'm using it a lot for fitness and even though I worked out a lot before getting this watch, having it has really made me go more and there's just something great about closing all of your rings. I'm averaging about 1-1/2 to 2 days for the battery life depending on my workouts. While I'm not thrilled with having another item I have to charge almost everyday, it's not terrible and I certainly never have to worry about it dying within a day. Hopefully at some point these will be able to reach a week on one charge.

    Worth the upgrade from gen3

So long story short, my stainless gen3 apple watch took a small fall onto my bathroom tile floor. Unfortunately the sapphire glass was damaged and made the touch screen unusable. In order save myself another $700 mistake, opted for the 44mm (largest screen) with the aluminum casing. The watch is much lighter and screen brightness/clarity is even better than before. Major selling point was the ability to check my health with more accuracy using EKG on the spot. The watch is faster when loading apps and more responsive. Worth the upgrade!

My wife & I both updated our Ser.1 & 2 Apple Watch to the Ser.4 and could not be happier. Honestly, if you were like me with the Ser.1 you probably hated it and thought you'd never see the value/purpose of the Apple Watch. This one changed my mind. It has incredible battery life, insanely clear screen and is very fast. The features VS the OG Apple Watch make the Ser.1 seem like a prototype, not even worth comparing. This made me a believer again. We both love ours and would absolutely recommend the Ser. 4 to anyone with a Ser.1/2 as a MAJOR upgrade!

I was a little wary about buying the Apple Watch, because I wasn’t sure I’d find it that useful. I talked to a couple of friends who have them, and decided to go ahead. I’m glad I did; I enjoy it very much. Besides being a good-looking watch (you can choose from many watch faces), I like the fitness and activity-tracking feature. Other features, like alerting me to incoming texts and calls also are useful, although I use my phone to respond. Overall I’m very satisfied, more than I thought I’d be.

Came from an older Apple Watch sport in 42mm to this 44mm Series 4. Style wise this looks much better and cleaner than the earlier versions, the rounded corners make a big difference on the wrist and it is thinner too so it sits down lower. All of the 42mm accessories will work with this so thats a plus that I got to use my old bands on this new model. I wouldnt spring for the cellular version unless youre without your phone often, if you always have it on you theres no need to spend more for the cellular service.

Let me start by stating that the watch itself is phenomenal. If this was a review of just a NEW Apple Watch, it would've gotten 5-stars without really much effort at all. It does everything that it was advertised to do and more. I have gone two days without charging it, which is awesome, and the integration with my iPhone is ultimately sublime. Getting your notifications on your wrist adds a level of convenience not possible with just the phone, and the ability to install other apps from the growing App Store is really nice too.

This watch gives me the ability to track my fitness and health in a convenient device. The integration with the health application on my I phone is excellent. As I senior citizen I appreciate the fall detection feature as well as the ability to do a ECG. I will show my doctor the ECG readings on my next visit. It motivates me to get up and move around as well as complete my rings. When I receive a text or call I can just look at my watch without pulling out my phone. Wish it wasn’t so expensive.

I really wanted to hate this watch. Started out with a Fitbit Versa but found it grossly inaccurate. (Sometimes recording hundreds of flights of stairs a day by driving). Finally sucked it up and bought the Apple Watch. This thing is great, not perfect but pretty close. Used as a phone; it’s great. Using for fitness tracking; it’s great. Using stand alone apps; it’s great. Messages, great, notifications, great. You get the idea. Really wanted to hate this watch but it’s everything I wanted and it is, great.

After trying the Apple Watch Series 1, I was highly disappointed, very slow and a lot of glitches. I tried thee series 4, and I can tell you, the difference is night and day, all of the glitches are gone. The speed is perfect and all the new features are really well thought of. If you are debating to get an apple watch for the first time, or as an upgrade from an older version, I would highly encourage it. I am very happy with this watch, have been using it every day for 3 weeks now, no complaints at all.

I upgraded from the Apple Watch series 1 to this series 4 watch. It is better in every category. Battery life is great, processor is fast, everything works like it should. You can actually take a phone call on the watch and the people on the other end can’t tell your taking on your watch. The only downside is the price. $429 is pricey for a watch that gets outdated every few years.

This watch is fantastic. This is my 1st Apple Watch and I love it. I bought mainly for the ability to monitor heart beats and rhythms. But there is so much more, the activity rings and the coaching prompts make you want to get up and be more active. Plus the ability to answer calls, get your notifications right on your watch is awesome. I am only just beginning to learn the many reasons to own this watch ! I highly recommend this watch !

I really like my apple watch and it is great for getting notifications and not having to always carry my phone. Makes it very convenient. I also like it for training purposes to track my fitness. I do wish they would make some changes to the running app. I don't like how it makes you start immediately if you want completely accurate data. But it is great for tracking my runs and getting my notifications! I would definitely recommend it!

A very warm rose copper. Why did they do this? I miss the old light colored gold. Meh, well I exchanged it for the black one. Anyways the watch works great and it’s biggest improvements are in speed, battery, and screen size. How does it get better from here?
