    If your Apple Phone is on, it'll receive an incoming call. It is not a stand-alone device. You can call out from this watch if the phone is off, but that's it. The Samsung watch has been stand alone for years and someday Apple will catch up. If you desire to use a watch without your phone, get a Samsung.
