It's been 4 years and it still works!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's been 4 years now, it still works and still updates. The current version is 10.5. Battery is ok for a day. Don't buy rubber protector because somehow it scratches the sidings. Series 5 serves its purpose, mirrors important apps from my iPhone.

Best extension of your iPhone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used it everyday until end of 2023 when it broke when it fell on a marble floor. I know it’s old but apple watch is honestly the best apple gadget out there. It’s the best extension of your phone

A perfect Smartwatch for iPhone users!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife surprised me over Christmas by purchasing an Apple Watch Series 5 to add to my tech. I'm a network engineer and appreciate well-designed products. This watch certainly fits the bill! The always on feature of the Series 5 is fantastic, even so, battery life is excellent. The interface is intuitive, providing the information you need when you need it. Fully customizable to how you work and live. I use it as a work watch for email, text, schedule and navigation. Also use it while working out, keeping track of all fitness metrics. Switching bands is simple, easy. I'll be playing with it for months trying to figure out everything it can do. All around winner and perfect companion for the iPhone.

Great watch & battery life.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a Fitbit versa 2 and it still functions great for my purpose. Prefer the messaging app on the Apple Watch as I can actually read an entire text. Battery works great! I changed the setting to not have the watch always be “on” and it appears to help preserve battery life. Doing so can get me 2-3 days. Of course I try to charge nightly just in case. So far so great! Debated between 40mm (tooo sm) vs 44mm (a little big) for what felt like forever. For a female my wrist measured around 6.5 inches. Supposedly, I could go either way as it appears to be in the mid-range. I went with 44mm. Felt 40 was just too small. I’m ok with it. Wish it came in a 42mm.

Wow Great price and Great product!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great product even it being a GPS Model series 5 it fills the bill on the price and the quality of the device. It would be perfect if it gets paired with the latest iPhone 11, Pro, Pro Max. But for those that have heart issues its a good non-medical advice device that you can share with medical professionals to have an idea on your heart condition. The device does offer many other options that can be helpful in day to day living added features makes something that you normally needed to reach for the iPhone that you can do just from your wrist. This a “GOOD PRODUCT” approved.

Awesome watch!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a little hesitant as I thought the watch would be gimmicky and redundant from the phone. It is really convenient being able to look at all your notifications on your wrist rather than having to pull your phone out of your pocket every time. Plus, the workout app and ability to calculate your daily activity is great. The heart rate monitor and ECG app are an even better way to monitor your health. I would recommend this watch to anyone thinking about purchasing one. Plus, if you wait for a sale, you can get one for a great price.

Always on-display
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This being my first apple watch, i have no words. The always on-display is definitely one of my favorite features. The display just dims down and you can still check the time without moving your wrist like previously seen on other series. The battery lasts all day and more! The watchOS 6 interface is beautiful and smooth. Definitely recommend buying this watch, the set up process is simple and fast. I love the convenience of answering messages, playing my music, checking heart rate & activity goals on my wrist. Of course, it’s also capable of more.

More Useful than I Foresaw
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought the idea and implementation of the Apple Watch was highly impractical and gimmicky. After several years now I saw the capabilities of the watch and changed my mind that I should research it more, and did buy a Watch 5. As I carry my phone in my pants pocket I didn’t buy the more expensive one with carrier subscription. It offers an incredible amount of personalization and customization in the display, and the number of useful Apps is ridiculous. At my age I started wearing progressive lenses two years ago and was concerned I wouldn’t even be able to focus on the watch display, but with my new prescription and the adjustable displays it is easier than I imagined. It really does, so far, help keep discipline with exercise walks or biking. The detailed information is automatically relayed to the iphone and kept in a record, displayed by month and each day can be recalled and reviewed in detail at any time. And by the way, for seeing the time it is considerably more convenient than what I had become accustomed, leaning to one side and trying to fish out my phone from my pocket. There is so much more to it than I can write, the key attraction being you can customize displays and accessibilities to your needs and easily modify the display at any time. Glad I purchased the new 5 model

One of the best purchases I’ve ever made
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was the type of person who didn’t understand the value of a smart watch since I could easily just pull my phone out and check messages or calls. Boy was I wrong and I wished I would’ve gotten a smart watch much earlier. It may solve a very first world problem, but not having to take out your phone every single time you receive a notification has allowed me to actually use my phone a lot less. Sometimes you get a notification and half the time it’s important, but half the time it’s not something you need to look at right away, but we still have to check and decide for ourselves if that notification is important. By using the Apple Watch you decide what notification to ignore without taking your phone out of your pocket. And if you need to reply to someone or take a call it’s all done hands free. I never thought I would use the fitness features but now I can’t live without them, I workout daily and without the Apple Watch I would not be able to keep track of my progress or be motivated. It really has improved my health by a lot. The battery life is amazing, I don’t usually use the always on display, I sleep with the watch on my wrist to track my sleep, and I use it heavily during the day. I usually go a day and a half to two days of battery life, so at the very least it will comfortably last all day. This is by far one of the best purchases I’ve ever made, I don’t regret buying this watch and the best part is it’s always improving through software. Apple Watch user for life.

Great!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was a great purchase! Battery is awesome and screen size is more than enough. My husband just loved the gift and he is using it every day, all the time! Including during his sleep time to measure all health stuff. He is about to forget all his other "regular" watches lol. Since it has GPS he doesn't think it would be necessary to buy one with Cellular. He is just so happy and it makes me happy too!!!

Much newer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Apple watch (Series I) died a few days before Christmas (not bad I suppose since it was at least 5 years old I think). The face actually became separated from the body and flip-flopped around which caused the screen to "digitally fog-up". Best Buy was having a sale so I did some research and decided to purchase a new one (Series 5). This watch is so much nicer than my Series I (duh) and I love the feature updates. The watch has so many new features as well as the "always on" display (dimmed but readable) until you touch it, or "flick your wrist" to bring it to full brightness. Battery life is unbelievable as even after 18 hours of use, the batters still shows 75%. After 18 hours on my old watch, the battery was dipping into the red. Like most Apple products, they are not inexpensive (this one was 1/3 the price of my Series I), but I'm still happy after one month.

Solid Iteration
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall: Great upgrade for someone with a Series 3 or lower. Obviously, the highlight feature of this watch is the Always-On display. While a little late to the party, the Apple Watch Series 5 executes on this feature quite well, with unique effects for each kind of watch face. I didn't notice much of an issue with battery life. With Always-On enabled, I was ending most days with over 35%, so it is very comfortably an all-day watch. However, when disabling the feature, I could easily get two full days without a charge. Again, not spectacular when compared to the competition, but a welcome upgrade nonetheless. The "Raise and Talk to Siri" feature, or whatever it's officially called, works quite consistently. I found it super convenient to send a quick text, navigate to a certain location, or set a reminder, and I appreciate not having to summon the voice assistant with a "Hey, Siri?" every time I want to issue a command. Notifications are crisply delivered with the Taptic engine, and the interface is easier than ever to use. Is it worth an upgrade if you already have a Series 4? I'd say not. Always-On is a nice quality-of-life change, but not a paradigm shift. If you have a Series 3 or lower (I actually came from a Series 2, so I was long due for an upgrade), then go for it. You'll appreciate the slimmer profile, bigger screen, better battery life, and much snappier performance.

Loving the New Apple Watch
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife got this watch for me for an Anniversary gift and I love it. I had an Android Smart Watch but the battery in it wouldn't even make it half the day before it died. So I stopped using the Android Watch and wanted a newer watch ever since. So since we upgraded our phones to iPhones my wife got me the Apple Watch and I love it a lot better than my old Android Watch. You can't download custom made watch faces like the Android Watches but that doesn't really matter so much compared to the many other features (which are too many to list here) this watch has compared to the Android watches. I really love the fitness tracking and heart monitor an overall feel of the watch and the OS on it. I would highly recommend this Apple Watch to anyone looking to get a Smart Watch.

Keeping an eye on me
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a minor stroke a few months ago. I tried to change my life style by changing eating habit, exercise, sleeping hours and etc. Along with the changes, I decided to get something to track my activities. Among all the choices, many people recommended to get this watch instead of other activity trackers. So far I like using this. I am sure all of you know what this does. It is keeping my living activities pretty well. I see it in my eyes so easily, I would try better. It is a circulation of better behaviors. This will not keep you safe or does not save your life, but makes you aware of your daily activities and it helps to keep me healthier. It is a bit pricey, but it has more than you would need..., that means it has all you need for sure.

from Apple Watch 1 to Apple Watch 5
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I had a first generation Apple Watch and it was awesome. It monitored my fitness, and overall was very useful. I don't use a lot of the apps, but overall was happy with it. So here is what i like about the new version in comparison. always on - very cool. I have mine set to modular mode and I can see a lot of details including fitness, direction, time, calendar, date and even the outside temp with a clever low and high built in. Also I like the water resistance, but the really cool thing that I don't see on a daily basis is the EKG monitor. I understand that it is not to be relied on, but any tool is better than none. The battery life seems to be a lot longer on this watch than my old one. I enjoy the apple watch a lot, and it is a great source as a quick reference.

So far so good
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 3rd iwatch and 3 different series. The first 2 did not last my abuse. I like the new features on the new watch, even if I have not gotten to use them in a real setting...Covid.... I like the bigger size. I can see it better. I am not sure about the face staying on. This watch seems to use more battery and I assume that is because it is illuminated all of the time. Only had it for about 3 weeks. My biggest hope is that I do not have to buy a 4th iwatch. Design is awesome but craftsmanship is less than great. I hope this one survives more than a year or two. I am a die hard apple user since 1998. But I cannot say the new product lasts long enough. Not being able to replace batteries and such...Kind of a rip.
