I love this watch but if you have a series 5 the only reason you would want to upgrade is for blood oxygen. I love it though. Highly recommend buying it.

    Crappy battery life

Looks fancy. Heart rate was accurate, but unfortunately it didn’t take it continuously. It would take it about every 5-15 minutes even when I was active. I had to manually go to the HR to get it to measure and was a pain. The battery life is the worst I have seen. It doesn’t even last 24 hrs for me.

Did not think this was too great at all. Super expensive, and it's super annoying to have to wear this 24/7, because the form factor is not sleek at all, but rather quite bulky! Definitely would wait and only buy something like this on sale. Just did not appreciate it.

    THE HYPE IS NOT REAL

So I read all these great reviews and hear from my mother about how much they love the Apple Watch, so I get the new watch and completely blown away by how fascinated people were with these. There is like nothing to it, it does cool little things but nothing a much cheaper watch can’t do. It comes preinstalled with a bunch of apps that clutter your Home Screen in either grid or list view. You can’t add custom picture for Home Screen through the app for some idiotic reason, but you can if you go through your photos and set it up that way. Unfortunately if you use your own photos you can’t get any of the stuff you want on your Home Screen. I love apple products and have over 15 of them, I got this watch and was extremely disappointed with everything about it except the build quality as usual is nice and feels good in the hand, but so did a cheap $50 fossil watch when I was 11. Even if you use everything on this watch, I don’t see how the price could justify it simply for the terrible setup they have with it and the complicated user interface. All I wanted from this watch was to have the time, have 2 buttons for calling and texting and a media player for music. Sadly I got a watch that makes you jump through hoops to use it when the whole purpose of a smart watch is to make things simpler. All in all, everyone buying these is doing it just for the name and not the features it actually has because of you bought it for the features, you could get a Fitbit for a fraction of the price. So if you’re looking to buy one, first look up the apps that will be there all your life and see if you’ll actually use them, odds are you won’t. If you plan on not using any of the health apps, DO NOT BUY. I bought for simple use and it was nothing like I was expecting. This is not a dis towards Apple but they really blew it on the watches and highly recommend you just click the power button on your phone to see everything because I can promise you it’ll be just as quick if not quicker than this $450 paper weight. Just kidding, it couldn’t serve as a paper weight either. This is an honest review, just don’t expect anything really more than a $450 digital watch.

    Consider before buying mediocre product

I am extremely disappointed in the series 6 apple watch. Please consider my review before even considering to purchase this mediocre product. I was on the fence about a smart watch for so long but decided to try one due to all the alleged features and tech that made everything from workout tracking, to multitasking, to staying connected easier. This is false. In the six months of initially tried using my watch for many things that would save me time/energy, the main one being the speech-to-text diction that allows hands free responding to messages and notifications. While promised to be super helpful and advanced this feature is horribly designed. First, there is no edit or partial review option so no matter how long youre response may have been, one error anywhere and you must restart the entire transcripted message or send the messed up message with a short follow up correcting the remarks which is often easier and quicker (also frustrating). Truly mind blowing how someone approved this design for no edit/review abilities for dictated messages and forces users to start over for every single edit. Secondly, heaven forbid you attempt to use anything besides the most simple words in the english language possible to express your message, because once you begin using more complex language that most of us adults use day to day the watch panics and begins offering nonsensical guesses for the words I’m saying which do not even remotely match the context of the rest of my response. Even though they are real words, apple watch seems unable to assemble them or lacks the technological capacity for the vast majority of my responses to the point that if I see a friend has texted me a message requiring any of response greater than a short sentence I simply reach for my mobile phone instead. Truly a garbage level level of speech to text, which is offered as a major selling point that allows you to accomplish phone-level tasks without needing it next to you.. but you likely will. Apple clearly spent more time marketing the watch than developing one of its flagship functions. Honestly the only thing my apple watch does as it was advertised to is track my workouts which a Fitbit would have done for a fraction of the cost and nearly none of the frustration from empty promises of function. I can find out the weather/date in seconds from so many other places it seems silly to attribute this to the watch as a face saving pro when its such a low bar. Wish I could return my Apple Watch Series 6 but I waiting too long hoping it would somehow one day snap into working as advertised but it hasn’t. If you want a watch to help you multitask, the Apple Watch Series 6 is a great choice to help you struggle to accomplish basic while also raising your stress/blood pressure which is 2 things right there. If your motivation lies in wanting fitness tracking, a Fitbit will do you far more good than the Apple watch. Which the Fitbit and other competitors offer a watch with a battery capable of withstanding days (almost a week) without charging, while you’ll be charging your Apple Watch every single night which makes activities like camping non-apple watch friendly. Extremely disappointed in watch, and advice anyone caution before purchasing one. Of course if you are blindly loyal to Apple the quality of the product isnt really a factor so much as making sure you give them every dime of your money you can and eagerly accept whatever mediocre innovative technology” they present as new.

    Battery life quality

I have had FitBit for 4 years, and made the switch to keep all of my devices in the iOS ecosystem. I knew the battery for Apple watch would not be as good as FitBit, but it has been much worse than anticipated. I have to charge daily. Otherwise, I am pleased with the iOS and functionality of the watch.

    Too dim in low light

I have a series 3 was looking forward to the 6. Very nice initially but then I realized that at night in low light that the watch is way too dim, even on full brightness. I compared it to my 3, in full on light the 6 is way brighter but in indoor lighting the 3 blows the 6 out of the water. There are numerous complaints about the dimness of the 6 in low light, just google it. I will be returning the 6 and forgoing the “upgrade”
