Series 7 & 8 are almost identical, so if you're trying to save some money and you don't need the two extra features, go with the series 7. It's not really necessary to spend hundreds more for the stainless steel version. They have the exact same features and very likely will have a case slapped on it that you can't see anyway.

Don't get the plain black if you're trying to use it for accessorizing with all your dressing styles. Overall I like it but I'm not sure it's worth all the hype.
