Ever since i started working out with my apple watch i cant imagine going back to working out without it. Knowing how mant calories ive burned, what my heart rate is, and exactly how long ive worked out has been a game changer. The watch itself has a great build quality and is surprisingly tough as well. If you enjoy working out id highly recommend it.

There are a lot of great things about this watch, most of which have already been covered by other reviewers and Apple itself. I'd say there's not much to complain about with this watch, except for a MAJOR design flaw which [despite Apple's best PR spin] warrants a 3 out of 5 stars rating. It's the function of pressing the crown (dial on the side of the watch) to pause workouts. After almost 2 months of using the watch to track my daily exercise, I can say that least 90% of my workouts were interrupted (at least once per workout, usually more) by the crown being accidentally pressed by the bones in my wrist. I have searched the forums far and wide to find a solution for this, but none exists. Apple offers mediocre solutions such as "Make sure your clothes aren't accidentally turning it off!" or "Try wearing the watch to the inside of your wrist!" or "Slide the watch higher up on your arm!" These solutions are as useless and meaningless as you would expect. Rather than trying to find an ACTUAL solution for their inherent flaw, Apple just shrugs their shoulders and says "Oh well!". C'mon Apple. You can do better. Why not make it an OPTIONAL function, similar to the haptic sounds of the keypad you can turn off on the iPhone? Why not create an option to manually turn that feature off for the duration of your workout? Better yet, why doesn't Apple take accountability for their shortcoming and solve the issue in the design studio so that we won't need any solutions? Perhaps it's just how my wrist is genetically shaped, but it's really maddening that Apple completely glosses over this design issue. Is it a deal breaker in the sense that I'd say DON'T buy this watch? No. However, it's enough to make me question buying another Apple watch once this one goes kaput. Unless of course, they can manage to fix it.
