    I purchased this as extra protection for my daughters laptop. It’s pricey but needed.

    A bunch of complaints regarding this MacBook Pro. Screen will have an internal display issue which will develop on its own. Apple won't take responsibility and will cost you serious money to repair it. Definitely stay away from this pricey item.

    Geeks Squad service not all it’s supposed to be.

    Geek Squad wouldn’t put a batterie in my Apple IPAD because I didn’t buy it from them. Also gave some ridiculous price that Apple would charge if I had it send to them.Said Apple wouldn’t put the batterie in but would send me a similar iPad. Well that’s not going to help me get my pictures back now is it. I had taken them the batterie and the tools. It was a no go. We had just had a death in the family and I wanted my pictures. Took it to the local computer repair place and it cost me $97. But it got fixed. Didn’t make me to happy seems I had paid for 3 years of Geek Squad protection/service. They even tried to sell me a new one.

    I purchase an Apple Mac book with the protection agreement but when it came time to stand behind a repair they said I don’t purchase a a protection plan for my MacBook. On the store receipt it said I didn’t purchase but on my account it said i did, which is why I’m able to write this review. I had to throw away my MacBook and never was refunded for my AppleCare plan. I purchased both the MacBook and AppleCare from the store. I went to management and corporate office. Beware purchasing protection plans with cash or separately! Double check your in store receipt when purchasing.

    We pitched the three-year AppleCare warranty on a new, expensive MacBook Air. The clerk told me if anything at all happened to the computer, I would be able to hand it over and get a new one right away. The plan was an additional $400. 16 months after purchasing the laptop, the keyboard stopped responding, rendering the computer unusable. I called AppleCare as instructed and after FOUR hours on the phone with incompetent reps, I was told that I had to pay $100 extra just to have it looked it! I do NOT recommend! Waste of money for fraudulent warranty.

    No problem in LA---I wanted to cancel the warranty-I was in Fairfield, Ca. The Rep there in Fairfield was rude--tried to tell me I had to be in LA to cancel the warranty. GREAT REP IN LA.

    Should purchase from Apple, not Bestbuy!

    This was purchased as a bundle with the mac, but BestBuy didn't synchronize it with the mac which led to a month of escalation with Apple and of Apple needing to track it down with BestBuy. The receipt showed the Applecare but Apple needed to resolve the issue in BestBuy's system. It took from Dec 19th to Jan 14th to resolve and finally see the Applecare in the mac's settings and to receive the proof of Applecare email. Recommendation: purchase directly from Apple in the future.

    Wife requested the bigger IPAD vs the Macbook air. The computer wasn't as easy for general surfing use and editing videos. Went with the 12 plus inch IPAD

    This device care has a dark secret. After 3 years they will automatically charge you again, without permission. If you call to cancel it, they want you to install something on your computer. and make it very difficult to cancel. I recommend you shop elsewhere, since these business practices are unacceptable.
