This is a great service from Best Buy! I had no idea they offered this. The technician (Nelson) was totally professional and very helpful. He called the day before the appointment was scheduled to confirm, and he even showed up a little early for the appointment, so there was no inconvenient wait time. He thoroughly checked my gas appliances, and made some very helpful suggestions regarding new safety codes and practices, informing me on what to expect if I purchase a new gas appliance. I will definitely recommend this Best Buy service to others!

The representative, Jake and his assistant, were very professional and took the time to discuss and show us how our new appliance worked. The entire ordering experience was stressful BUT Jake as the installer made the experience give Best Buy a 5 star rating. I would recommend this gentleman to anyone wanting appliances installed.

The inspection site survey people came out when expected, were courteous and seemed capable. They said they thought there would be no problem installing my micro. They took pictures of the site and left. I would not recommend this, however, because the installers could not install it and didn’t know anything about the pictures that had been taken. The installers in fact, didn’t even bring a microwave with them. They had to go back and get one.

I was given a time frame of 7:30 am - 11 am in a text the day before. The day of the appointment I received another text after 8 am, with a tracking link, saying the driver would arrive around 8:27 am. The link counted down the minutes for 30 minutes and then said the arrival time was "soon". I heard nothing after that until he called at 11 am and said he would arrive in 40 minutes. I told him I would wait until 11:45 am but then had to leave for work. He arrived at 11:47. I lost 3 hours of work that day because I didn't know if "soon" actually meant the driver was going to arrive soon. I'm told this was a third party company, Innovative Freight Systems, not Geek Squad.

This was a second survey to have a premium team evaluate whether my BOSCH cook top and down draft appliances that I ordered through Best Buy would fit. The same technician who did the first survey came the second time and he offered to place a gas shut off valve that he did not offer the first time. He was going to talk to his boss and called me back, but he never called me back.

Measurements were off compared to what we already had. They did not match up to what we measured 100% and did not even match the specs we had from the manual for our already installed appliances. We were also told incorrect information about products being on the same circuit breaker when an electrician told us this was false. In addition, they never told us that the products would not fit so when they were delivered, they installers THEN told us they would not fit and had to return them and now we have to go through the entire process AGAIN, SO FRUSTRATING. Staff were very nice at least.

Very friendly site surveyor. Unfortunately none of his information was transmitted to the delivery-installers who came a week later. They had no record of the site survey, didn't install the range so that it worked, and left a gas line uncapped, a dangerous situation. I will never shop at Best Buy again.

Always a pleasure to welcome these two genlemen into our home. The come in, take a look, do what they have to do, and then they give you some reassurances, and leave. 1-2-3. Gives one confidence that the intsall will go well. Don't hesitate to have them in. They are alos quite clean about their work.

We had our kitchen redone using Best Buy. We bought four major appliances and did all the measurements ourselves (we’ve done this before). Best Buy tech rep recommended an Appliance Site Survey to be sure everything fit and there were no surprises. Good thing, because our cooktop stove (mounted in granite) would not have fit even though the manufacturer’s specs indicated it would. When the crew came do the install, we were prepared for the extended time and site prep required for them to cut the granite and properly mount the cooktop. Appliance Site Survey made the entire installation process go smoothly.

Pre-Measure, Ordering Appliances - gone wrong..

This entire process of buying appliances, getting the pre-measure and then getting things delivered was unsatisfactory. In fact, I was to receive compensation from the last person I spoke to but never had anything provided.
In short,
My appliances were to be delivered to a condo rental
I arranged everything with the tenant, had her take work off;
BB said they would be delivered on the same day;
Upon approaching a week before the delivery date, I called to find that they would not be delivered on the same day;
I rescheduled delivery;
I arranged everything with the tenant for the appliance delivery date, had her take work off;
I scheduled the pre-measure with the person saying they'd confirm that the appliances in which I ordered would indeed fit the space in which they'd be;
I arranged everything with the tenant for the appliance/space premeasure;
The pre-measure person came out and stated that he'd submit a report to BB with all the information concerning the space, measurements, fitting in space etc..
He verbally stated he thought the appliances would fit but would put his survey to the report which was to be provided to BB;
I called BB some time after to verify, through the report, that the appliances would be delivered together and that the report identified that the appliances would fit;
NO ONE COULD FIND THE REPORT OR ASSOCIATED INFORMATION AND THE PRE-MEASURE SURVEY PERSON COULD NOT BE CONTACTED;
BB stated that the'yd return my money should it not fit NOT taking into account all the coordinating and errors which had already been encountered, traversed.
On the date in which the appliances were to be delivered, the deliverer stated that they could not get to the condo because of road closures. This seems very odd as the tenant went out a short time after receving this message to find the streets clear;
in addition, the condo borders on an alley, side street and main street providing access to the condo from three sides...
The final delivery, I again arranged for the tenant to be available etc. etc.
As mentioned, I was to get compensation for the errors. This is hopefully captured with my internal record in which hopefully you were keeping.
I don't know if the pre-measure person was at fault or the person(s) looking for the pre-measure report - either way, the pre-measure was not to be reached by myself or when BB called his dispatch - nor could any BB personnel find the report. This caused great stress with respect to already having had to jump through all these hoops and then finding, that possibly, it could happen again should the appliances not fit in the space in which they were designated to.

He was on time and professional. Measured everything out and was suppose to send in the measurement for an in cabinet microwave. We were to get a call from someone? to tell us which microwave and trim kit would fit. We did not
get a call so we called and they had no record of our measurments. That is why I gave 3 stars.

Unfortunately, the site survey proved to be ineffective as the agents that came by provided me with information that was incorrect. I was informed that an overhead microwave I was looking to buy would sit on top of our backsplash and still fit level. When the actual installers arrived, they disagreed with that install advice and informed me they would have to drill into the backsplash. They were obviously reluctant to do that as it could cause broader issues, for which they did not want to be liable. So, this is a case of left hand and right hand not being on the same page. It caused us to have to wait an additional two weeks. Not the end of the world, but annoying and I would be upset if I weren’t a total tech member and was charged for this level of service.

Matthew Tito is "TOTAL OUTSTANDING!" Tito is professional, prompt, well mannered, knowledgeable and familiar with all aspects of his job. He doesn't mind explaining to you exactly what hes doing. He should definitely be a trainer. All companies should have an employee like Tito. Best Buy is very lucky to have an employee like Tito. Tito puts your mind at ease and assure you the installation will go well. I have no idea how much Tito is earning but he definitely deserves a raise! Tito, you are truly 'ONE IN A MILLION" and I will never forget the Excellent Job you did!
