Dishwasher Install & Removal of old DW

(DW is "entombed" in space due to new tile on floor, raising level of floor. He did NOT say if the installtion crew would do it or not. Soo, I still have the same problem of buying & installing DW. I'm 85 & not going to do the remodeling! He told me what I already knew - I was looking for someone to say "no problem, we can do it".

Rang-top and Oven Measurements

Everything was confirmed and verified to fit wit me doing a small modification to the cabinet which I was aware of prior.

Purchased over $10,000 in appliances...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After an in-home consult, I wound up purchasing a new washer/dryer, oven/microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator and was very excited. However, upon my first installation (combined for the refrigerator and dishwasher), it wound up that the refrigerator size was too large and the geek squad was unable to install my dishwasher. From that I was required to find someone to cut into my cabinets to make the refrigerator fit and then hire a plumber to install my dishwasher - extremely disappointed since I thought the purpose of using in-home consulting was to ensure a seamless customer service. After paying out of pocket for that, I was then scheduled the following week for the washer and dryer to be installed. My laundry room is on the second floor and is directly above my kitchen. Upon the first cycle of the washer, my drain pan (thank god I had one) was overflowing. After contacting my in-home consultant, store, etc - I got no response. Forcing me again to hire a plumber and when they came to fix it, they said that the washer was not hooked up properly and that the fittings to the water line weren't tightened properly. Strike 2. Last but not least, I was scheduled to have my oven wall combo microwave pre-measured. Upon taking measurements, they said that there was significant custom trim that needed to be made and when I received a call from the store, there answer was that the in-home consultant yet again had the wrong measurements and recommended the wrong appliance. Upon my request to cancel my order as I have been significantly upset about my entire experience, I decided to give Best Buy one more opportunity. I wound up paying a bit more, but getting an oven wall set that better fits my cabinets - fingers crossed, but most likely never getting appliances from Best Buy again.

Best Buys "carpenters" are a joke!

The installers drilled multiple holes in our brand new cabinets - when holes were already in place and new ones were not needed, left a mess with all the saw dust and wood pieces, and knew the microwave did not work correctly, but said they could not take it back because they didn't have an order to do so. We waited for a response for a new one and didn't hear anything for 2 weeks so we went into Best Buy to check the status. Nothing had been reported, so a new work order was set up to have someone come out and remove the defective one and check to see if a different model could be placed. The men that came didn't give us an answer if the new microwave could be installed or if modifications would be needed. They just said they couldn't help us. They spoke to each other in Spanish thinking we didn't understand, little did they know I did understand. I don't appreciate being called stupid! The old, non-working microwave, has yet to be removed, and we cannot get any answers. For being "carpenters" they had no clue how to fix the situation. It has become apparent we will be removing the non-working microwave, and installing a different one ourselves. So much for paying for Total Tech!

Best Buy failed to follow-up

Installation was done professionally w/great svc

It was a 3rd party vendor, and the company Bestbuy contracted provided great service. Phone calls to schedule/remind of appt., and the installation was quick with additional accommodations to make sure the installation was made in accordance with the conditions of the kitchen.

Site visit failure

He “couldn’t accurately measure the cut out area” for the new double oven to be installed. He said he was not informed that the cut out was still occupied by the current appliance. He thought the installation would be in new construction. Serious miscommunication including cancellation of the first scheduled appointment and a rescheduling error for the second site visit. Not a good process and series of events. Resulted in our decision to postpone future installation of the new double oven until we find someone who knows how to get the correct size and fit for the appliance.
